im new to the car scene, ive been to a handful of meets and each time i park a 10 minute walk away. nobody wants to see a stock camry, you’d think it would be common sense LMAO

It was common sense back before respect all builds was a thing. Hopefully that saying/trend is on the way out and common sense comes back. Would love to have a good car meet around me again.

100% agree but imo the biggest reason I stopped going to these events are the street takeover crowds in general. It takes some serious 200-credit score energy to attend them and when every car meet is just an excuse for some Mustang to start doing donuts at the strip mall’s entrance light, it’s ruins it for everybody. Personally I blame the clout chasers and sadly the sterotyped Mopars now

Once you put some money into the mustang and have something to show, pull up and park in the meet and you’ll get a flock of people coming over to take a look. Trust me things are more rewarding when it’s earned.

imo car meets these days just gets much more nonsensical- I remember a year or two ago there's a local car meet held at the city centre and bamm! bodykits destroyed, stampede (it was held at a shopping mall parking lot so the space would be a bit confined), etc. broo i was getting my driver's license this year and i ought to go have a first visit by the end of the year.. until I saw your vid, making me having a second thought 💀 these madlads scattering at events that was meant to make friends, socialize and maybe at least touch grass and they're there to ruin the vibe!! smh

Yeah I don't think bone stock cars fall under the "respect all builds" umbrella. Stock is not a build, therefore no build to respect. But I think the main thing is just don't be a complete a-hole about it. It's ok to like or dislike whatever you want, just don't go out of your way to be immature and disrespectful. I don't think it's too far fetched to assume that a lot of the people that show up to car meets/shows like that just don't have the money to drop on serious mods or are just curious and want to get their feet a little wet. If you're being outright disrespectful it paints a poor image of all of us and turns people away from the scene and anything to do with it entirely.

I agree. Don’t be disrespectful but like with anything, you gotta pay to play. If your car isn’t car meet material, like stated in the video, I’d rather have them park away and then walk to the meet. Once they get their first project car then they can pull up to the meet and feel proud that they are finally apart of the meet and not just a spectator.
