My 95 Turbo got 237k miles and been in the family since new. It’s still in relatively better shape than most out there, but seeing this interior really brings back memories when everything was still fresh.

This is such a good buy, dont understand how you can find these. I own 850 station wagon in Europe, it has 2.4 10 valve engine with LPG system, leather seats, cruise control, climate control, manual gearbox, bought it for 500 Euros from a friend and i own it for last 8 years, its a great car an it has never let me stranded. Yeah, it can sometimes cost a big amount of money to maintain, but mine has more than 550 000 kms on it and it still moves. I do all my repairs in my garage, in my opinion, they are easy to maintain, rear axle is easy repairable, fuel pump can be changed in 10 minutes, front suspension is as simple as it can be.... these are truly an overbuild cars. Of course there can be problems with pcv system and valve seals, and steering rack can start leaking, but its all repairable with decent amount of money. If i could get my hands on this volvo - iwould never sell it - take a good care of it ;)

I made the mistake of test driving the 850 T5R Platinum Edition wagon back in the day. It was a mistake because it was north of $40,000 which was beyond our budget. Ended up leasing a ‘97 Saab 900 SE instead from the same dealer. Less than 2 years later and after eating 4 DI cassettes in 6 weeks the dealer transferred our lease into a ‘99 Saab 9-3 SE. We drove that until 2019 when we traded it in on a Volvo XC60.

That Mercedes ! looks great. I also just watched your 1990 7 series video. I am curious to know... do cars from that era have a bunch more interior noise when you are driving compared to modern cars? also.. You do a nice job with these videos. I just found your channel for the first time earlier tonight when I was watching a video from Car Wizard about the electric smart car. Keep up the good work!👍

Thanks for watching and commenting! I would say as a whole the older cars are a bit noisier than modern.

I had the wagon version of this car that we auctioned on Bring a Trailer. Went to Germany! GREAT CARS!! I have some Dyno runs on my KZbin channel, it was putting down some good numbers. Very strong cars.

I saw a 1999 S80 with a 2.9 liter engine with just under 300,000kms on the odometer with the original timing belt and water pump still in place. The belt was fairly cracked but the water pump was not leaking.
