Just subbed and looking forward to seeing how you progress with this build. Great work and helpful tips by the way!

Them turret tops look great , I’m still so impressed with the trailing arm set up , reminds me of the s1 built trailing arms makes me wanna learn cad and design so bad , I’m also at this stage in my car with the tunnel I’m converting a mk3 golf to 4wd and want to make a wider/higher tunnel for ease of exhaust fitment , great work 👍

i got most of my ideas from FDF raceshop , they make some sweet stuff. CAD isnt something you learn over a weekend , be disciplined and dedicate 30-40mins per day doing a tutorial , DOING a tutorial , not just watching them. its well worth it and its never been easier to learn CAD as it is now with YT tuts

I'm loving the build, very classy choices! Looking forward to seeing it come together. There's no way I could get something like that registered in Australia though. I certainly couldn't tow a car on the street with a home made A-frame like you did with the TT at the beginning - it would be a cop magnet. 😢 Is this one show / race only? What kind of rules do you have for road cars over in South Africa?
@carbonmk113 күн бұрын
yea africa hits different hey .. this will be a street car , as long as its roadworthy then the sky is the limit . they dont have MOT over here like they do in the UK, which is sad cause there are absolute wrecks on the road which endanger the lives of the innocent. thanks for the kind words , wish i had more time for the project

Why not cut out another tunnel and weld it in above your tunnel?
@carbonmk120 күн бұрын
that might work , but i dont think i will get enough height because the tunnel has a taper in it, but great idea
@juddfyah19 күн бұрын
@ in all actually you might only need to rise the rear. I see it done on a mk2, I’m not 100% on mk1

@@juddfyah ive watched @gateslicks vid on doing the tunnel , he says he wished he made the front section bigger

Eish I'm worried about safety, No safety goggles, No gloves... When grinding, safety is paramount to prevent injuries and ensure a smooth operation... Preparedness By prioritizing safety when grinding, you can minimize the risk of injuries and ensure a safe working environment...

dont worry bru , i wear safety gear when its needed, watch the grinding again and you will see i have glasses on, when im welding i have gloves on
