I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song in 1997. My family and I had just moved to a new place and I was starting my first year of 9th grade. There was this cute boy that lived next door and he would play this song almost everyday and I could hear it through the walls but I didn’t know what song it was. One day it played on the radio and I thought, I’ve heard this song before. Then I started listening to it all the time. He came to my window and we started talking for a few. Then he left. He was a junior in high school but such a nice guy. He would walk with me from the bus stop after school and he would talk and I’d listen. I was smitten. Ahhh, to go back to those times. No technology-just talking to people. ❤
