Interesting demo, hope to see more od this. Seconda puzzle battle hurt a bit, to me it was obvious that the reason for missing damage is unknown symbol, lizard dropping it tail because of danger, so not attacking it seemed logical.

Yeah, Retro quickly passes through the rulebook after the 2nd puzzle and there is an explanation, apparently, hitting the creature with that lizard tail icon drops a 'tail' on the spot, and the creature moves to a spot to the right, so the lizard thing was blocking 2 spaces basically.

On the second puzzle, he tried every combination/solution except the correct one and I was dying laughing. Mostly because I did the same thing the first time I was trying it out. xD Bit of a shame he didn't die more though, he missed out on some of the content because of it.

21:48 for the record, that's actually scripted to have you lose. its a super challenging encounter, and even if you did manage to defeat it, before that happens the game would appear to glitch out and fill the enemy's board with grizzlies and just not die

Yeah… glitch a turn if you win (he fills the board with bears and your dps is invalid) and if you kill the bear then more appears…

Possible Puzzle solution?: When the tail sigil dies in the puzzle it was blocking the 3 damage attack. need to have an attack in every lane and pull back the creature attacking the tail.

sigils given to cards on the sacrfice stone do NOT replace sigils a card already has, so you can stack sigils onto a card to give MANY powers

I absolutely love the idea of integrating an actual story and escape room mechanics into a deck builder roguelite! Although I do wonder if it's going to affect the replayability factor.. maybe they'll let you turn it off after you beat the game if you want. Who knows, maybe it's they find a way to keep it fun after the first go 'round.

Everyone I've seen won the final boss first try. Had no clue there was more if you die. Wonder how far it goes in the demo

There's even more if you die a second time. It *is* rather sad that content creators somehow all ended up winning on the first or second try, since they all missed out on some sweet new mechanics, cards, and encounters.

@@Polygonetwo Yep. Have you run into other player cards? The ones I've found are "Kaycee" and "Reginald". They're rather generic names, so I'm unsure if they are computer generated or tied to a light multiplayer system. Or if they're CPU as a placeholder for a multiplayer system

So at 19:00 time frame. That boss is unwinnable. I set it up to quick win before his bears were out. I used both squirells and the pliers to do it. Since I was going to deal 3 damage and I needed 4 to win, the pliers were perfect to get the win. As I ended turn, the game did this glitch thing (not actual glitch, just part of the game) and his board was filled with bears before my attack went off lmao. If you pick the right cards to win, the demo makes sure you don't win. You have to lose the fight lol.

There's more to the story than meets the eye. Return to the demo. Perish to the boss and return to the beginning. Investigate the painting of the board. Investigate the totems, the trapper, and the trader. More cards and more secrets await.

This game looks really cool. Not too interested in the card game aspect but the room escape parts reminds me of one of my favorite point-and-click series of all time, the Cube Escape games. I just hope it doesn't have any more of that 2011 creepypasta-esque "memory card full" elements, it kind of dated/ruined the horror imo. Would love to see more of this!

the more you lose in this dem,o the more the board changes and the STOUT card begins to morph as well, after a few loses he grows extra necks and its head becomes more and more square in shape. There is so much hidden away in the demo it's insane. Cant wait for the full game
