Oct.4, 2023....Crazy as it may be, but I just recently discovered the great talent (and phenomenal beauty of Ben Orr)!. Crazy? Because I was in my mid twenties when the Cars hit the music air-waves! I was devastated to learn that this amazingly talented and beautiful man passed on from a horrendous disease. My heart breaks for you Ben Orr 💔 If heaven exists, may your soul be rockin'....❤❤❤❤❤

I was also in my twenties when I discovered the Cars and Ben 💜💛❤️🍑💋💙💘💝💖. They weren't on the radar much where I was, but once I saw Ben it was Love Forever. What a beautiful guy and voice.

I just visited Benjamin's grave yesterday for the first time.It felt so surreal and sad to me.He died so young.If that wasn't bad enough, his mother outlived him by 3 years.She died when he died.As a mother, my heart hurt for her.I hope Benjamin and his parents are all together.As much as I was sad, I felt so honored to be there to show my respect for Benjamin.He was such a talent and we really lost a great one.Still very proud to say he's from Ohio.Rock in peace, Ben. You deserve it and you earned it.You'll never be forgotten.

He's on the very end.We weren't even half up the little dirt road and my BF said, " He's right there!"...The cemetery is not big.Believe me when I tell you, you can't miss it.I was shocked, tbh. I thought he'd be hard to find.You don't need to know a plot # or anything like that. You'll see it.He's in the very first row, the second headstone to the left.There's no right hand side to the cemetery. You'll know what I mean when you get there. I didn't know he had a brother. I assumed it was his dad that died in 97" next to him.:( They still talk about Ben on our local classic rock radio station.There's a local dj (who also has his own band) Michael Stanley, who was good friends Benjamin, from what I understand, but anyway, after he plays The Cars, he always says, "That was the late, great Benjamin Orr.":)If there's anything else I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

There’s many Ben fans in the group! Benjamin’s parents are buried in another cemetery, that’s his half brother Charles and his wife.

best story ever!! met him at the Framingham chateau Deville to see Rodney Dangerfield in the back bar with his bouncer bodyguard.. Asked if would like to do a "Shot" and we did.. ( i was soo nervous and excite at the same time !! ) I thought he would say NO.. Rodney yelled at us and said "hey you two get a room " ! I remember his laugh and felt like he was an old pal of mine instantly. My friend tugged at me to stop bothering Ben but he was a blast and more interested in us then Rodney! Plus I didn't ask a lot of aggravating questions that I wanted too.. I figured he wanted a night to have fun and laugh.... Wicked friendly and genuine. Not fake at all.. as sometimes Rock stars can be?

I love this track of just the guitars and singing. I am a big fan of Ben. I am trying to replay this song just acoustically and am stuck at this A ||: She says to Bm leave it to me, (leave it to G me) A Everything'll Bm be alright. I'm not sure how to play on acoustic and transfer to it from the verses. What is here really doesn't sound right. Any help would be appreciated.
