If he did “accidentally” asphyxiate her, couldn’t he use his paramedic training to revive her? Wonder how the defense handled that question. I think you’re exactly right about the misplaced rage from his girlfriend breaking up with him.

@@parttimehallmonitor It said he was taking antidepressants, and some of the possible side effects are low sex drive, erectile dysfunction and inability to achieve orgasm/climax. Since he was also consuming alcohol at the time, maybe he had some type of difficulty performing and that played a role in his sudden anger and violent behavior. His girlfriend is like one of those women who fall in love with a serial killer during his trial, she certainly doesn't seem to be using anything resembling common sense where this guy is concerned. Or maybe he convinced her that it was all her fault for kicking him out, like she was the one who drove him to do this, so she has to stand by him and try to help him get out of it. Guilt can be a powerful motivator for some people.

This monster not only killed a woman but then tried to put the blame on her by saying she asked for "rough sex". Dude, even IF the woman wanted rough sex, if the woman doesn't survive, the sex is probably a bit too rough, don't you think? And then like the wimp he is he cries through the police interrogation and blubbers like a baby and then has the audacity to ask for sympathy because he has PTSD because the act of murdering her stressed him out. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I think it is obvious that this guy is a POS but what on earth kind of loser is that girlfriend of his? She stuck by him through the trial and clung to his hand on the way into court? I guess she thinks he's a great guy, well except for that whole murdering another woman thing, but hey, nobody's perfect, right?

I commend you for your humility and honesty in recognizing the toll that your career has taken. It is no easy thing to run into a burning building when everyone else is running out. PTSD is the result of trauma, and I’m quite certain that this bloke has been traumatised by what he did and what has happened to him as a result. I think it’s an insult to people with PTSD to suggest that only some trauma applies. I can’t think of anything more traumatic than being a decent, law-abiding, caring person, and then murdering somebody and disposing of their body and then getting caught...that has to be one of the most wtf things to happen to a person. He would not have woken up that morning thinking that within 24 hours he was going to murder someone, a cop, no less, and his life would be over. I would call that a pretty traumatic ordeal. I have PTSD..it is something that happens to you, and it just happens, it’s something that you have no control over, and, one way or another, it makes you it’s prisoner, and it is caused by trauma, any trauma.

@@minini5571 I’m not trying to offend you, I’m just saying that it is wrong to suggest that this young man doesn’t truly suffer from PTSD because he was a perpetrator rather than a victim. I also suffer from PTSD, and I find people categorising who should and should not be considered a ‘true’ victim of PTSD a little disingenuous. Trauma is trauma. Many veterans are traumatised because they too have killed people, and the uniform does not make that truth less traumatic. I am so very sorry for your loss, there are many too many who are lost this way. Help is such an elusive, and difficult thing to obtain..and those who suffer will always be the walking wounded. Ya PTSD is a bit of a crock. I believe some people truly have it. But I also believe that alot of people's claims of PTSD are bullshit. Just a way to get disability or some other compensation. It's something that's impossible to prove someone doesn't have it or does. If someone were to listen to several true victims of PTSD. And pay attention to those stories it would be pretty easy to convince people you are suffering from PTSD. Even some soldiers are taking it to get discharged. Very disrespectful to true soldiers that do in fact have PTSD.

Bizarre. In the interview he seemed genuinely upset, remorseful and confused, and he had no prior issues or a motivation to murder. Yet his behavior after the fact, hiding the body and trying to get away with it is inexcusable. I really can't understand why anyone would do that so randomly and unprovoked, drunk or otherwise. I have a feeling he was so blackout drunk he lost control of his anger at his "ex," and woke up with severe mental trauma for having done something so horrible, so the PTSD is probably real.

"He pleaded not guilty, even after he confessed!" I hear this a lot in the news and on many other platforms such as here on youtube. I figure that most law abiding citizens have no idea how the legal system actually works. It all starts at the arrest, where the police or whomever, assume the culpability of a person due to the accumulation of evidence, therefore making them a defendant. In order to make it from one court hearing to the next, you must plead not guilty, regardless of your guilt or innocence. If you plead guilty, anytime after you are arrested and charged with a crime(s), you will be immediately sentenced. Therefore, most defendants continue through the process, pleading not guilty until it is no longer possible to do so. At your final case review, if you plead guilty, you will most likely be offered a plea deal and you will probably get a better deal then if he had pleaded guilty from the very beginning or taken it to trial by pleading not guilty once again. Sorry so long winded, but I was hoping I could sensibly explain the process without getting too deep into the process...Thanks for your time!

That’s kind of what I thought. I had seen another one where a man killed a woman he brought home because she told him to ‘just hurry up’ or something. Pathetic

Imagine being this sad pathetic girl though. She breaks up with him, they get back together and she finds out he killed a girl. And you take him back? What exactly did her parents do to her that she has so little self respect? Disgusting waste of a woman.

@@vih6650 Nope. It's you that doesn't understand the word, or what's going on in the video. A nymphomaniac does no need to move from partner to partner, their obsessive sexual desires can be contained to one person, if the man's character satisfies the woman's need. Like say to be with a psychopath who's got a pretty good mask, one who could sit and cry about being caught on his way to destroy the body of a person they accidentally killed.

Mr. Sham Poo, another classic Mike ism. It's part of what keeps me watching, along with the stellar footage and facts Mike is able to present. I live in Canada and hadn't even heard of this one, a cop killing no less.
