I love this series!! I was married for 48 years, to a man who had anxiety issues, there were times when I want to walk away and and other times when I don't know what I would have done without him. It was work, but we made it work. I really related to this season. I lost him in February of 2020 - I miss him greatly despite some of his short coming.

Based on the darker tone and costumes of the adult/present Bridgerton time, I am guessing King George has passed.

Queen Charlotte predeceased King George III by about two years, but they could have changed it I suppose

In the current Bridgerton time , king George is still alive but quite senile ; so he is hidden most of the time. Watch the first Bridgerton season you would see that he appeared but the quickly took him in because he was as out of touch .

In my opinion, we know it's fiction (based on facts of George III). It is beautifully done on historical characters and makes us look differently on how the (real) history books record these characters (real George and Charlotte). It sheds more light on George's condition (today's terms we would not call him mad) etc.

5/5👍🏽 Charlotte was of German and Moroccan ancestry. Love this entire production (ladies we have a leading man again) and Series 1 of Bridgerton. Turned off by slow drawn out pace of B2. And I'm sorry but Anthony is not a leading man Now I can eagerly anticipate B3.
