The cat! Oh, yes.. the modular synth is cool, too! And the music. I really like this :)

Haha. I mean the cat IS the real star of the show.

Hey, I can see your face.......what a rebel.....so nice to see someone with their own approach, instead of creating a video which is just gear based.......such a welcome change....oh yeah - cool piece of music as well...The slow zoom out is very effective, and I enjoyed the unfolding story.......my only complaint is that it sounds like it's recorded in Mono, by mistake....oh yeah, and I have to say - the cat stole the show.......Greetings from a very remote forest in B.C.

haha. Very rebellious indeed. Thanks for commenting, nice to hear. And yes, for sure, Billie Jo always steals the show when making an appearance. I guess I should look into creating some sort of stereo signal path, but modular, ya know...

I don't actually know much about Modular get ups...however it seems like most of the people here that I watch who use big Modular set ups (State Azure....Helene Vogelsinger) all have a very active stereoscopic field - which doesn't sound to me like just a stereo effect at the end of the signal chain.......No worries - your upload was amazing.....

@@willswitchcraft oh no, definitely didn't take it the wrong way at all. It is definitely something I need to look into, I normally just record the global mix straight out of the system with little to no post so they are very raw recordings. I like that but it definitely would be cool to look into ways of widening the stereo field so to speak without recording each voice individually.

Understood........I just love how immersive the stereo world is....perfect for ambient

Is the global detune located behind two presses on the CTRL button? Ive been out of tune for a while and after hearing this seriously wonderful piece of music I simply have to get it fixed! Inspirational, thank you :)

It is one of those… when I can’t remember I just select each mode and then move the slider to the right and then fully back to the left…

How did you sequence those bass notes that keep repeating at the end that sound almost like an arp? is it also using Harmonaig? if so how were you able to have them trigger/sequence independent of the droning chords? By the way, this was an incredible piece, sounded like a DS poly synth. Bravo!

Thank you so much!! If I am understanding what you are referring to, it was most likely done on either a Varigate 4+ or Copper Traces Seek... For this patch, all voices are sharing a common tempo albeit with different clock divisions. Normally I use Make Noise Tempi as master clock, which is one of my all time favourite modules.

this is great! is the warbly detune coming from that global detune you talk about in the description on saich?
@RPGould33 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Maybe in part, but I imagine what you are referring to is more a combination of portamento and Magneto tape delay.

@@MorningStrategy thanks!! Michael Haneke did a very good adaptation of the novel… I think it was made for television but it is still quite good. Ends the same way as the novel which is quite clever/surprising
