I'm a bit torn. On one hand 2 players took way too long to fight each other to join the middle fight, so that made the win feel less impactful. But on the other hand the winner still managed to hold off 4 players by himself, which is pretty impressive.

Yeah, I am a bit frustrated ^^ The Berserks were so good only due to the +40/+50 vs camels/cav. Any infantry would have (and did in the end) shredded them. But all the guys with good infantry didnt make any (red and teal, i know he didnt have the gold) or couldnt care less to fight grey in the middle (blue, orange, yellow). Samurai, Teutonic Knights and Chakrams would have destroyed the Berserks, but they got to fight vs camels and hussars only... Really lucky for grey, gg nonetheless!

10x Ironclad came in clutch too. Grey made rams for no other reason than to park them under monument. They had massive melee armor thanks to ironclad. If the rams weren't there, grey probably wouldn't have held.

You would have instantly producing free champions & halbs. Couple them with slavs, japanese, & celts and you have free, super fast, instantly producing, 50 bonus area damage per attack halberdiers. A group of 40 free halbs would move faster than hussars, and have a splash damage of 2000, 4 times per second.

i regret we didn't get to see throwing axemen. t90 didn't even mention them. by my math, they should have 24 range, 20 attack, 400 hp, and fire even faster than the chakram throwers. i also wanted to see more onagers doing area damage, not sure why they were not used more. but good game, oddly balanced

I think a big weakness for onagers is the low HP- sure they got ironclad, but they were still expensive and got sniped pretty fast by the cav/castles/chakrams. At least the way yellow was trickling them into orange.

The reason Camels were insane in this is because they get: +40 melee armour from Frontier Guards tech +20 melee armour from Teutons -30 damage from any mounted units from Royal Heirs tech +400% bonus damage from Gurjaras +200% HP from Franks +200HP from Imperial Camel upgrade 200% faster attack speed from Hindustanis +20 attack vs buildings from Hindustanis +20 attack from Imperial Camel upgrade Instant training time (20 seconds -20 seconds) from Imperial Camel Upgrade Cost no food from Kshatriyas tech If only we had Bulgarians and Malians too they would also get +330% attack speed and another +50 attack!

Poor green was the only one attacking grey for so long, spamming cavalry against an absurd anti-cav unit. Meanwhile all the players that would destroy, or at least match up against those berzerks: TKs, Shotels, Samurai, Chakkas, TAxes, were all either near-death or busy. Green was about the only one that wouldn't be able to win that fight.

The issue with non-janissary gunpowder is definitely the lacking attack from having no upgrade. Everything just has sooooo much HP and durability and then the hand cannons just can't put out enough to shred.

Shotel Base Stats are too similar to their elite stats, Samurai are probably almost as good as bezerks, ghulam are similar in upgraded stats to Berzerks. Teutonic knights have insane attack and and hp, but are too slow We didn't see throwing axeman which was sad Too bad celts weren't in this to speed up the infantry, It'd be fun to see speedy teutonic knights. Be fun to see huskars in this, Obuch would be fun. Kamayuk would be cool I'm curious if Roman Legionaries would get the 10x treatment. Slavs trample bonus would be interesting. Urumi Swordsman with trample damage and ignore armor would be interesting

Roman Legionaries are extremely strong because they also benefit from the Roman armour (so they get +20/+20) and +50 charge attack from the UT as well as the big stat boost by the tech (+30 attack, +150hp, +40 vs infantry etc)

T90 man, I love ya man, but you gave blue absolutely no view. We didn't get to see anything other than the endless stalemate between green/grey and orange/yellow. I really wanted to see how the Samurai fared, especially against any unique units. The little we saw they SHREDDED the berserks. Every single attack blue made was missed while we were looking at the same stalemates being played end on end. No point being sad that shotels weren't made when you completely missed an entire player doing things. Just so disappointed that we missed it. Good job grey, really well played.

Based on what people were saying about how a previous match went, I appreciate others also having a problem with the way these maps sometimes go. It's so easy to get such a runaway advantage on somebody that the game is effectively over just based on how they like, clear their forest versus someone not doing it optimally. It's basically an entire new game, and whoever cuts through to the other person might just kill them like an alien empire destroying cavemen, etc. That's why the absurd bonuses are so good, as T90 said these matches are essentially showcases for that. Having said all that, that battle for the hill was great, a real photo finish. I said out loud 'it's over' like it was a sportsball match.

Infantry like samurai, TK, and chakram were the key to destroying the berserks. You didn't check the Samurai bonus damage, but it's usually insane in 10x mod if they can get close because it's often UU that people use, so the on screen stats can be a bit deceiving and make them look weak. The +50 vs cav was too much for hussar even viking HP halb would have been a better meat shield. Scrops are also insane with 10x torsion engines when stacked up, a little disappointed no one did that but tbf it would have still cost gold and they're slow. I was with you in thinking towers would be strong though! I guess they were missing the tower damage that some other civs could provide

Yeah for best foot archers you would need: Ethiopians (Attack Speed), Vikings (Damage), Sarcacens (Damage vs buildings), Mayans (Free Archers), Britons (Extra Range, Archery ranges work faster), Vietnamese (archer hp) Viable archers (Elite Upgrades): Chu Ko Nu (UT more damage, lots more arrows, little more hp) Armenian Composite Bowmen(Ignores armor, little extra hp, extra melee armor) Plumed Archers (lots of hp, fast, but no extra damage, extra range, extra pierce armor) Longbowman (more damage, little more hp, extra range, extra pierce armor) Rattan Archer (little extra hp, extra damage, extra range, lots extra pierce armor, fast) Geonese Xbow (lots extra bonus damage vs Cav Elephants, camels, ships; little extra hp) Surprising to me Longbow or Rattan seem to be the best options for bonus stacking. Rattan are probably the best cause they are fast. Though extra damage from Longbow would be very nice.

Were we missing Chivalry from the franks there? Maybe unit delay was from pop cap but I didn't catch instant production.
