The Casual Carry Ep. 1 - Cassiopeia Bottom

Welcome to the first episode of The Casual Carry! In this series I'm going to be narrating live games with a focus on education, plays, and having fun. Sometimes I'll break the meta, sometimes I won't. Sometimes we'll win, sometimes we won't. Sometimes I'll make awesome plays, usually I won't. The one thing I can guarantee, though, is that I'll keep it laid back and engaging.
Because I'm fantastic at tunnel vision while playing, I will misspeak in some situations. Such as ignoring the Kayle who ulted me and thinking I just did fantastic in a 1v3. Where this happens, I apologize.
I will also make a ton of mistakes. I tend to make these anyway because I'm not the best player ever, but live commentary and live streaming has always hit my performance pretty hard. It's ok.
Scheduled? Yes. At least once weekly, the specific day(s) are being ironed out.
Streams? These won't be part of any of my streams.
Will it always be new champions? No.

casual carry; nasus support is very strong. used to be good with urgot. wither sets up the lock on and the amour reduction stacks so you get a kill with 2/3 missiles

The only reason you could defeat Kat at the end was because you had Kayle's invincibility. You'd have been dead otherwise. Besides that it was interesting and your damage rocked.

Hey any advice? I have these spellvamp quints I never use. recently picked up Cass and play her well but, I just realized spellvamp is a great idea that I haven't yet tried. Here's my question, would a spellvamp quint page be worth using versus MPen/AP?

Seems to me that if Cass's sustain "is" her burst, as mentioned, there's no need to feel guilty about buying survivability when available, especially when it builds into a core item anyway, i.e. rylais.

Mistake one was not upgrading the trinket to a pink ward around 15:00. Vayne can be dealt with if you can see her. Just place the appropriate ward!

You could always have a twitch or teemo with you bot. Decent soraka replacements (Their poisons work with your E In fact any poisons do though i cant think of any other poisons)

When you killed Vayne 1v1 after they got baron and you went on to say how you easily match her damage, you do realize your turret hit her 3 times as well right? You would of lost otherwise I believe.

(at 31:51) u are not great vs a vayne!... u used ult, barrier, flash and had a turret as backup.. and you said that you can beat her 1on1. every champion would have done this better in this situation. Even if she has baron buff.

I find cass is better off bot lane as the supp not as ap carry. Your ability to zone the enemy using your W and well placed Q's gives your adc a major cs advantage and the Q poke is very safe. Also with ganks from enemy jungle if you are level 6 it's an easy triple kill for your team.

Great video, but no offense, You didn't beat Vayne at 31:58 because you matched her damage. The tower hit her about 10 times. And even then, she almost got the kill.

about what you said at the end with the "taking on their katarina 1v3." yeah, it was 2v3 and without that kayle ult you had on you, you would have died 1v1 vs her. unless maybe you had hit her with a stun, but i still doubt it

After that first gank i thought:"first time Yasou, derrrp". Lux on the other hand was amazing What I did not see, is that you did good in the 1v1 against Vayne at 32:00. Sure, you won the fight. But what I really saw was, that Vayne (who had no item for armour), despite you were supported by your turret, whose damage became higher with every shot, although you even stunned her in it, making her completely helpless, while playing the highest burst magic damage short-ranged champion (who excells especially at dealing with situations EXACTLY like this) almost killed you. What this tells, is much more interesting, than Cassiopeia being a good marksman: Vayne's DPS is by far too damn high. That was crazy. Even with the Baron buff. And about the subject of being able to take down their Katarina in a 1v3... Kayle using her ultimate for you does not count as an assist? She would have killed you with the rest of her Death Lotus damage and Shunpo'd back out I guess.

I was pleased when I saw you doing this... than I saw you take dorans and taking all the farm ?:] Have you considered supporting with her? Taking Frost Queen's Claim will give you CDR, 10 mana regen, and so long as you hit one poison every 30 seconds you'll get max benefit from the gold passive, it gives gold and +damage on every tick on one poison. It's a lot easier to land the poison and keep to the bushes without having to worry about CS, and if you are up against champions whom you cant hit for whatever reason, or are having to play defensively, you can level the pool to zone them away from your ADC instead. Later on, if the enemy team is smart enough to not give you a good ult, it's a great tool for counter engaging. Stick close to your ADC, poking away at the enemy, if anyone that matters jumps on your ADC, ult and go ham on them. Otherwise, save it. Many team comps will have a lot of trouble finding an opportunity to commit to an engage without giving you a prime ult opportunity. If you keep it off cooldown your team can really take advantage of their inability to engage on their terms. Her pool is also useful for checking bushes when going around to place wards, or in case a team fight is about to happen in a jungle area and no one had a ward for a nearby bush. I honestly don't really think she needs the gold from that bottom CS as much as another character would. With gold from assists, your Frost Queen's Claim, and possibly utility specs, you'll still be able to afford enough AP (or pen) do do respectable/effective damage (she has high bases) while getting some support items. This then allows for a proper ADC, or anyone else to make use of those resources. Meanwhile you're still able to contribute meaningfully to your team, with a bit less damage of course, but a bit less than a a lot is still a lot :)

Well yeah, 414 + 1,2 AP damage per second at lvl 18 sounds really nice, but they must be staying still, and eating every spell. (i assumed 0.7 sec between 2 E). Not only that, but misscasting an E, or even the target dieing when E is in flight (not to mention zhonya, and other untargetable stuff) means your snake is practically out of the fight for 5 seconds. The theoretical damage is there, but why play cassio if you can put out similar damage with an adc?

i actually played a game after seeing this I was ADC Cass and Support GP and we STOMPED Draven and Leona. It was especially easy with Draven cause I would place my Q near his bouncing blade mark. Max E first and you're god! MACHINE GUN!!!!

I have been playing a bit of support Cassiopia, it is just really hard to deal with for allot of botlanes, it lacks some cc pre 6, witch is its biggest weakness, but if you can jsut avoid all inns you just keep zoning and harassing, it also synergies very well with the new pick

get ap spellvamp in runes, and go for more offensive build. Since you are the Marksman, you should try to go full on dmg ( Raba penetration) since you should be able like any other marksman to kill the tanks if you get peeld enough
