We used to have a cat that chased squirrels all the time. He would catch them too. Now the odd part (for a cat) he never hurt them. He would just get close enough to knock them down. In fact the ran over them and would keep going. A few even got mad and chased him every now and then.

What I particularly enjoyed in the last few moments before the Cat Attack was that the cat sat staring at something to the advancing squirrel's left, to beguile the squirrel into thinking that it was safe and not a target, so could advance further with no danger. Onward into the Valley of Death....!!

Well bring a few over and you’ll have all tree rats you could ask for. We have them where I live and they are not native to the area. They are a huge PITA. They chew on wires, wood, and have almost burned my house down by chewing the neutral aluminum electrical wire to my house. I have been woken up to what sounds like a grinder when squirrels are eating holes in my cedar house. They’re cute all right. They are fortunately hated by my 5 dogs, so those who venture into my yard sometimes don’t make it out and word travels fast in the squirrel kingdom. There are still those who don’t learn and provide a purpose in life for my pack.

My cat of 12 years was a squirrel killer. For six years he would patiently wait in the yard for prey. Both of his ears had divits from kills. He would eat the head and bring the rest to the back door. We always figured the brains were tastier. Michelangelo as my wife named him , would answer to BudyGuy for me. Enjoyed your video.
