Man you have some guts and pluck Trev. You deserve all the luck in the world, and I'm sure it is headed your way. I hope life brings you exactly what you want, and is very kind to you. You seem destined to be a famous KZbin boater, and if you were to sail the seven seas I'm positive you would enjoy a substantial following, and enough income to live comfortably and maintain your boat. Thank you Trev for taking us right down the astonishing Intracoastal Waterway that puzzled me so much whilst looking down on it from a Jet Blue 737 flying up the East Coast from Georgia to New York a couple of years ago. I had thought the large, extremely long ridge of land (and thereby inner canal) just off the coast was some strange natural island phenomenon! Should have known it was typical American confidence and know-how that made the canal. Kindest wishes from England my old mate , and thank you once again. I so hope to see much more of your KZbin travels (Trev's Travels, or Travel with Trev!).

OMG I can’t believe your trip ended so close to us! So the “boat factory” in Edgewater makes Boston Whalers. Fun fact: The construction zone you anchored in in Flagler Beach used to have a Sea Ray factory. BW is moving in there too! I admit I am sad that you Jess broke up. You made such a cute couple and her laugh makes me smile every time I hear it.

You two are epic! Please do not stop making video’s. Love, love, love watching your adventures. I’m in Ft Myers, Fl, come over and stay for a bit!! I'm so happy to see this episode , one thousand miles ... that's further than you can drive in England by road , it would be an accolade experienced sailors could be proud of , never mind two people that had very little experience with this kind of waterway or boat , i've seen you come from being very unsure about how the engine even ran to doing your own maintenance & being able to pass through tiny bridges barely wider than the boat ( that was impressive by the way) a huge congratulations Trevor , the only problem is you have left me with a dilemma ... i NEED to experience that amazing journey for myself , looking forward to seeing the boat progress and flourish :-)

That little Mercury powerhouse should have been donated by the manufacturer free of charge because there could scarcely be a better commercial for its solid reliability and economy, and I'll bet a large amount of them were sold based on this fine example. The AC unit should fit perfectly just to the right of the cabin door. I have the same model of Iroquois catamaran and have my AC where the window used to be, just to the right of the door. It runs off of a Sony 1000 watt generator.
@9to5less3 жыл бұрын
Oh nice!! I was wondering about that. Do you have a steering wheel there too? Also, does the window unit cool the cabin down enough?
@melellington13333 жыл бұрын
@@9to5less Removing the window was fairly easy. I kept the window just in case I want to remove the AC later. A small 5K BTU AC fits easily in the window frame. I do not use a steering wheel. I use a tiler which is attached to the two rudders hanging off the back of each hull/stern. That is how your cat was originally. Your cat has some weird custom extension that replaced the two vertical sterns and rudders. I've never seen an Iroquois with sterns like yours. It eliminated the possibility of using your cat as a sailboat unless you tear off that stern extension. The 5K BTU AC unit is more than enough to cool such a small cabin, albeit I rarely use my AC. I don't live on my cat. I keep it anchored a quarter-mile away from my home, sheltered among some mangrove islands. I live in the Florida Keys. My cat survived hurricane Irma 3 years ago with winds upwards of 150 mph. The eye of the hurricane passed right over the cat with no significant damage.
@9to5less3 жыл бұрын
That’s incredible!! I always wondered how well these boats would hold up in a hurricane. Great to know that they do really well. It would be great to see yours sometime to get an idea of how I should rebuild mine

Thanks in advance for any information provided.

I think this series should be a lesson to a lot of people. Boating is an attitude of a type of freedom its a lifestyle that is not only for the people with money. The people who watch these videos and have bad things to say would never understand. Hell some people with milion dollar boats will never understand nor will they ever have this kind of adventure and the swell of pride in having done it successfully. I watched all of these videos and truly wanted to be out there with them being free doing something just for the joy of doing it. Are there thing I would do differently sure but they are mostly things like having a fishing pole and a possibly a crabpot but not much more. The only draw back is that the relationship ended but these kinds of journey will show you the cracks in your bond I can barely drive in the car with my wife for more than 4 hrs without wishing I had a good divorce attorney and we have been married for 12 years so. I hope you can turn the page as far as that goes but don't blame and bash each other you just figured out who you both really were.
