G.K. C Chesterton's messages, though serious, are always delivered in an entertaining manner. They are timely and timeless, and no doubt, will still be relevant in another hundred years. If he was alive today, I think he would demolish some of the more outlandish and outrageous ideas with his humour and rhetoric. The P.C. brigade would not be happy! As per usual, thanks for all the hard work.

Nothing new under the sun. I imagine myself trying to be a faithful son of Christ in a 5th century churchyard, trying my best to understand how I am to digest the Truth of Jesus amid a cauldron of heresy beating at my sickened brain ---- all in the name of Holy Mother Church. My head is spinning. Reminds me of the moments I share with my brothers and sisters everytime I walk across our parish parking lot. The Truth is in my love.

This was good video. You said modernism is the synthesis of all heresies. We hear this stated all the time, but who can identify the heresy when it’s heard? 🤔. I have a lot of homework todo to start fighting back. Thanks again for the video. These are the types of article I have to read to get the most out of.

Chesterton was not only a great thinker, but his writings were such that his “written” thoughts could reach into the deep recesses of the reader’s intellect. Like enjoying fine wine, the reader could take the time to savor all the nuances of Chesterton’s thoughts. Your presentation was great, but I suppose the fast pace of your reading that may be due to YT’s limitations respectfully was like chug-a-lugging a bottle of Chateau Lafite.

If I slow down my reading I get accused of droning. I'm seriously considering ending my weekend videos altogether since I'm clearly not cut out for making them

Perhaps Chesterton and the like are not compatible with your audience. I have found KZbinrs are looking for 5 - 10 minute segments that can be digested quickly. I love your channel- it ain’t you…..it’s the nature of the beast.

@@ReturnToTradition Please don't do that! The weekend podcasts are such a contrast to those you post during the week. Many of them nourish us spiritually, others are entertaining and yes, an odd one is beyond my comprehension. But then, I'm no genius. Please keep them coming!

@@marywoolley3329 my thoughts exactly. Anthony, we know you work hard at putting these out, and if you stop what will I lay awake at night awaiting anxiously after I finish my Rosary? I start each day listening to your podcasts. Sometimes, when they’re particularly good, like today, I listen to them several times. My entire wknd will be off-kilter. (gosh, i sound like a kindergartner; please, Miss Smith, I’ll be good if you don’t take away the treats!). Forgive me, Mr. Smith.🤭

Everyone should be treated as an individual in the sense of not being an object or property of anyone else including the State. That being said, the relationship between children and parents is special because we do know the situation of dependency of the child when we make the choice and thus our feelings for them as parents need to be below our engagement with them until they fully get their independence as an capacitated person.

Mr. Chesterton’s mind was lightning in a bottle. Not only did he expertly and whimsically point out problems, but he also pointed out any banalities about those problems and, when warranted, rhetorically wonder why he was the first to point out a given problem. (I suspect that he was too modest to say that he was “the sharpest knife in the drawer”.) 😂
