The Catechism in Examples (Catholic stories - introduction)

These are wonderful, timeless, Catholic stories for kids of all ages! Fr. D. Chisholm was a Scottish Catholic missionary priest who lived in the late 1800s and wrote this group of classic Catholic children's stories. The intent was on teaching the Catholic faith and virtues through storytelling. These stories were extremely popular in their day and a copy was requested for the Papal Library. The stories are vivid, inspiring, sometimes lighthearted examples to illustrate the Church's teaching as set forth in the Catechism. As enjoyable as they are edifying, they are drawn from such sources as the lives and writings of the saints, religious and secular history, popular stories from tradition, great literature, reports from missionaries, daily life and Holy Scripture. The message of the stories is just as true today as it was when it was written. The whole focus and the enjoyment is to learn and grow in the Catholic faith as we immerse ourselves in these wonderful and engaging stories!
