Tier 5 is generally where the abilities start becoming good. That’s just before the second boss I think so it works out pretty well

I feel the titansbane amulet is the goat for these kinds of runs. Turns off thorns magic immunity, inevitable's intangible hp, death/pain totem passives, etc. and the cats have built in cleave so you can usually remove multiple problematic guys simultaneously.

It's also helpful to have a second actual character to get around death sigil. One cleave damage dealer sacrificed to kill death sigil and one hexia, and then a blue to carry through the rest of the fight

House cats are definitely the biggest candidate for indirect buffs because they'll go crazy if generates ever stop being trash.

I played all Green choose-party on unfair to get the achievement, and it wasn’t very difficult. There are tactics and sides that will bail you out most of the time. Especially love it when you get a massive damage tactic using an X side.

Green is actually super good for Nightmare. I won with a tier 12 who had "50 heal repel" costing an X. There is exactly one enemy with counterplay to tactics costing an X, and it's Hexia, and she only deals 1 damage in return.

I feel like Nightmare Mode is as much about buffing your cats as it is about making a broken combo with your main. For example, Longbow.m.3 at 14:56, or even the engage swords at 11:17. I am thoroughly enjoying watching you play it though!

For nightmare cat mode builds stasis, rerolls, copy and invincibility effects are tier 1. E.g. square wheel and boots of speed. Just need your big guy to be hit and dodge any nonsense (e.g. death sigil). Think you realised titansbane is also the nuts.
