The thing with markkanen is that he can play with Mobley or Allen as a good stretch 4 on offense and a 5 on defense where you can hide him by putting him next either of those good defenders. Gives your lineup a good amount of versatility and helps make up for the lack of spacing by Allen and mobley. Also Kevin love probably won't play so markkanen essentially replaces him.

According to BBall index, with a limit of 1000 min played, Cavs 4 players in the top 5 in the worst spacing. Sexton #1, LarryNance #2, Garland 4th and Cedi 5th. as a blazers fan the bulls are most likely gonna love DJJ, he's a very good point-of-attack defender (the only one on our roster...) and hes obviously an athletic freak. dude just swallows up opposing guards with his quickness and wingspan, only reason he never worked out here is because stotts didn't run plays, just threw him in the corner with the plan being "ISO and inshallah", and DJJ isn't smart/good enough offensively to really know what to do in the flow of the game. he'd make some great backdoor cuts but besides that he ended up taking a lot of 3s which is not what you want, so he fell out of the rotation. as long as donovan can come up with some plays for him to get to the rim, it'll be a great fit. and him and lonzo defensively+in the fastbreak is gonna be really fun to watch

Kind of just like how people dont realize that DeRozan has playmaking ability but in this case it has to do with Jones Jr. Everyone knows the bulls need front court depth. If Simonovic doesnt play out to be who hes supposed to be, its fine cuz Jones Jr. can play the 4. His defense is crazy good. Last I heard, (I know I'm a few days late to this video), K Love and the Cavs were working towards a buy out. So if they can do that, get off his terrible contact, and use Lauri as that 6th man big man for when Allen comes out or Mobley comes out, I think as a Cavs fan myself, it can work.

Bulls did the one thing they needed to do, and that’s give them a more of a defensive identity, with Lonzo and Caruso next to Lavine, he’s gonna be able to average 30 and still not hurt the defense because he doesn’t need to guard Stephen curry

Lauri Markennen is NOT the biggest name or I should say the most valuable piece in this trade that is Larry Nance Jr. ! He is potentially a better passing Bam Adebayo. At 6'10 he is an excellent playmaker, can shoot the 3, play both Center and PF, and has a high basketball IQ and motor. He will finally have an opportunity to play for a winning team. Great move for Portland!!

@@natec4339 You right, 6'7.5 w/o shoes, 6'8.5 with shoes and a 7'1.5 wingspan and plays like he is 6'10. Better than Markennen at 7'0 with shoes and plays like he's 6'5. Can't even come close to his skill level and impact on winning. So, tf is your point?
