Amazing adventure, and those views are incredible! Very Irish weather 😄 you’re showing us how a DNF still makes for a great adventure, those sandwiches must have tasted good after your crawling adventure. Thank you for sharing !

Yes loved the sandwiches 🙂 Would love to try it again but unlikely to be passing there any time soon.

It was a great place just to sit and look out at the countryside. A few people came past but for most of the time we had the view to ourselves.

What a fun adventure even without finding the cache!

Yes it was fun but wish I had taken more notice of the logs before going.

Wow! That was quite a daunting adventure. I commend you for your persistence. I was also quite impressed that I did not see any dirt on your shorts. That was a feat in itself. 🦀

Thanks 🙂 looking back on it I think I worried about my clothes a little too much. Would love to try it again with old clothes on but it's very unlikely we will ever pass that that way again.

They were well worth the stop. Enjoyed our tour of Ireland and the caves were one of the best places we visited. Thanks for commenting.

Are those roads as narrow as they look. That's quite a hill for sure. Wow...they made you work for that one. Bummer about the DNF. Good thing you had knee pads. Thanks for sharing.
@GeoRick Жыл бұрын
Yes they are as narrow as they look. You have to find places to pull over so others can pass. Sometimes it means backing up. A DNF is definately not what we wanted but we were only one night in the area so could not go back for a better look.

Great adventure as always. Not sure I could make that climb or the crawl, but I would try.
@GeoRick Жыл бұрын
The climb up to the final would have been hard. It really didn't show how steep it was in the video. People said they had followed sheep tracks but we could not see any.

Nice rating for the cache. Love the ferns on the paths edge. I could see the microphone attachment on you GoPro. Does the camera microphone still record as well? Think you said yes. Was on the edge of my seat with you deep into the cave. So nerve wracking. The skulls were probably muggled by someone. Geocache be damned but the view was worth it.
@GeoRick Жыл бұрын
Yes the view was well worth it. Although I don't think it's obvious in the video I was getting rather nervous when at the deepest point 🙂Yes the microphones sent the audio to the camera as the GoPro has a receiver plugged into it. They also record the sound themselves as a backup.

Really neat caves. That is crazy they allow people in there even though it is private land or at least seemed that way. Here is the states that would never happen. Beautiful area though even if you didn't find the cache.

A lot of the UK and Ireland have walkways (trails) across private land that have been used for centuries. It makes for wonderful walks in the countryside.

My claustrophobia would've got the best of me. LOL! The views are beautiful from that location though. When you crawled into the other little opening, there was a weird sound. Was that coughing, a yell, something else? Did you record an EVP? :O
@GeoRick Жыл бұрын
Not sure. There was the sound of my shirt rubbing against the microphone as I had it clipped on my shirt under my jacket.

@@GeoRick Ok. It just sounded weird like there was another person there or a possible "ghost voice recording". :O
