The Central Band of the RAF - Dambusters 75 Sunset Ceremony

In the evening sunlight of the 17th May 2018, 75 years after the Dambusters raid in Germany, The Central Band of the Royal Air Force performed a sunset ceremony outside City Hall in Cardiff alongside The Queen's Colour Squadron, complete with a Lancaster Bomber flypast! (which is at 19:53 into the video)
The event was also marking the RAF centenary and the opening of The National Aircraft Tour in front of City Hall which was opening the next morning.

Love it. Just a minor criticism and thats the bands of the RAF tromboners never seem to be at all angles. Look at all other marching bands and you see uniformity

I served 23 yrs in the RAF, I never wore the eagle on my shoulder for 20yrs between 1980 and 2000.

The RAF Regiment are the most professional of any military personnel marching, and way better than any of the Brigade of Guards Regiments ,,,

RAF has better drill, but the Guards have a much bigger public involvement, so it's a shame that their drill doesn't match.

It surprises me that makers' logos are allowed on the cymbals of military bands. The brands of other instruments are not painted in huge letters, so why are they with percussion?

Very nice music and good drills, I like our English friends, it is always nice to see the RAF band. Too bad that the audience show so little respect and unfortunately the historical background is very sad. Nevertheless, best regards from Germany :)

Our pastor said the sound of children is the most joyous sound in the world - so long as you can't determine exactly what they are saying. The historical background is sad; there is a teenage Ukrainian girl serving as a waitress in our cafe, she tries to connect with everyone, but you can tell that she is lonely in a foreign country and frightened to think about what will befall her father. War is horrible and destructive.

the Central Band of The RAF is nothing than a ghost of the Band when Martindale was the Wing Co. CB was made up of A & B band, each 88 in total, all were at least JT and Uni grads.
