With no memory of the past four days, Elliot goes to work the day of the UN vote. He realizes he's been fired and that Stage 2 is going to happen today. He tries to evade security to shut it down, but is caught and escorted out. He tries calling in a bomb threat to get the target building evacuated, while a large gathering of anti E Corp protesters gathers at headquarters. Darlene appears, admitting she's working with the FBI and that Angela is working with Mr. Robot, helping Elliot remember his lost days. The protesters break into E Corp, terrifying the workers. Irving calls Angela, stating that the riot is a distraction so they can send Elliot to copy important data from an HSM in a secure room as a prerequisite to Stage 2. Angela hears that the UN agreed to the annexation, then is approached by a suspicious security guard. She attracts the protesters, who attack the security guard, so she can complete the assignment intended for Elliot, then passes the data to a Dark Army agent. Elliot confronts her in the chaos, asking if there's something she needs to tell him.

I love how Elliot is so good at all aspects of hacking, social engineering included, that he as this horribly socially anxious awkward mess has no trouble flipping between four different characters when dealing with other people just to get the job done. Like as long as he's got a problem to solve he loses himself in the experience. But just chillin' he's ready to curl up in a corner for the night.

As someone who works in IT. I always found that the most clueless looking people are more computer literate than others. I once had an old lady that knew how to work the terminal. I also can confirm that people hate when IT looks at their PC even after them putting in a help desk ticket.

​@originalunoriginal4055 it's basically command prompt but for other operating systems. On other operating systems you use the terminal instead of a gui for a lot of things. It is mainly used for writing commands which can make things easier. Instead of navigating to the Firefox website and installing Firefox I can go apt install Firefox and it installs it all for me. The terminal is a command based way of using your computer instead of a gui based.
