The Centrifugal Offensive Ep1 || War on the Sea - ABDACOM Dutch East Indies Mod IJN

During World War II, ABDACOM (American-British-Dutch-Australian Command) was a short-lived military alliance formed in early 1942 to coordinate the defense of Southeast Asia against the advancing Japanese forces. It comprised military forces from the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, and Australia.
However, due to various challenges such as limited resources, communication difficulties, and the overwhelming strength of the Japanese forces, ABDACOM faced significant setbacks. The alliance was unable to effectively coordinate its efforts, and its member nations suffered major defeats, this provides an opportunity to rewrite the course of history and reverse the tides of adversity.
The Mod incorporates several additional ships and a new map with two campaigns of the Dutch East Indies:
Allied Campaign - The ABDACOM Defensive.
Japanese Campaign - Centrifugal Offensive.

Strafing is super effective in this mod against transports, destroyers and light cruisers. This info should help.

Welcome back to the seas Darth and have fun. You should have a pretty easy run of this with the amount of vessels you'll have at your disposal. I've played this from the Abdacom perspective and is it rough with so few ships.

The key is Java island, if you control it you control Indonesia, but as I remember you need to take borneo or sulawesi (Balikpapan or Manado) and singapore/palembang to make it easy landing at Jakarta or Surabaya.

How come noone goes after Singapore first? Doesn't it say your first task should be to take Singapore in the instructions. And how do you know how much the ships can carry in - troops supply oil etc etc etc?

I was afraid we couldn't capture Singapore within the 2 week timetable. That's why I went for a"smaller" base. According to the rules, ANY of the objectives satisfy the 2 week requirement

There is a text file included with the mod that has the carrying capacity of all the ships. I have it open while playing to check which ship I need.

No cap over the supply TF. And you pass by how many allied airbases to make your invasion? That supply ship had 4 ammo bunkers and one was burning and then ....... EXPLOSION! Need to merge combat TF ships with supply TF at night - DDs just won't hack it . DV .... 2 allied BBs in the area and you send 2 DDs to defend a supply TF and move the CVTF ahead of the suppl TF ???

I had a CAP over the TF at all times, except at night of course. But I agree, I let the escorting force get way too far away from the TF at night. If they had been closer, they would have taken the engagement instead

13:09 I personally don't think that your idea of sending TF2 to Banam is a good idea. Look at the course. It go straight into the active area of Force Z (the two capital ship on the briefings). There is a risk that this task force (not the carriers ones) will face it. And you know what it will leads to. Anyway, a good video.

Thanks for the input. Anywhere the Landing force goes, I'll be taking the CV force along for protection. But I agree, it will be risky
