Thank you for the memories. I was a young US Marine stationed with U.S. Marine Barracks located at RAF St. Mawgan when the IRA murder Lord Mountbatten. I was also in the Marine Detachment that marched in the procession. Every command that was under Lord Mountbatten or who fought with him was represented theret. Too many memories and too few words to describe it all.
