The Challenges of Asteroid Mining | A LEGO Space Short Film

A lone LEGO Classic Space miner is launched off an asteroid... and has an unexpected journey.
This animated LEGO short film was built around the theme of "perseverance." No matter what life may throw your way, keep on fighting the good fight :)
The minifigure and accessories were created in both Bricklink Stud.io and Mecabricks. This animation was fully created and rendered in Blender. I then imported the footage into Hitfilm Pro for color grading and final edits. Thank everyone for your support, I hope you enjoy the 500 subscriber special!

Mining Asteroids is an important skill and expertise particularly for the originals of the Classic Space faction but just as important is safely navigating Asteroid fields. Blacktron doesn't really have much expertise in mining but they do in the navigation of Asteroid fields as that's where they often put their bases and facilities. Asteroid fields are perfect to build Blacktron bases as they're perfect for cover and it keeps them hidden and hard to reach yet still able to snoop on, intercept and decode communications of Futuron, M-Tron and most especially Space Police. Nice little animation of one of our favourite classic Lego themes👍🏼👏🏼😊

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the animation :D One of my favorite details in the old LEGO catalogues were the mobile Blacktron II bases on asteroids :)

​@@minifigsinspaceI agree with you and especially during that time you can see Lego was putting a lot of effort into their catalogues which I'm sure would have inspired kids imagination and motivate them to get more sets. I thought with catalogues that featured Blacktron 1 it didn't make sense because you see them in one scene holding up the monorail and in another scene the Intercept Base is close by to the Futuron Monorail so they look like peaceful neighbours. That undermined Blacktrons prime directive which is causing trouble for the other factions. Lego did a much better job regarding their catalogues with Blacktron 2 and makes me yearn for a movie or TV show as there are stories to tell with Blacktron and the other factions.
