Our son, when he was about three, loved watching "I don't want no monsters in my house" (don't remember the exact title). He would be standing in front of the TV, holding his little Gideon Bible, singing. When he sang "in the name of Jesus Christ " he would hold up the Bible and sing with all his heart. Our son, who is now 28, is into apologetics and loves the Lord with all his heart.

I think this song or "Our Turn Now" was the first song by Carman I heard! This is my all time favorite song, and I had a Children's Pastor who did a lot of human video's to Carman Songs. This brings back precious memories. I saw Carman in concert live in the 80's - first as part of our church's Christmas celebration (this was a mega-church) then at the Tupperware Auditorium in Kissimmee, FL which was filmed for a video. I'm not sure why in most of the videos I've found of "The Champion" on KZbin Carman omits the actual "countdown" - that was a great part of the song. May God bless Carman!

I saw him at calvary assembly probably in 1978 or 1979. Our youth group was the biggest one in orlando. Called rock house taught by Alex clattenburg. The pastor was pastor hawthorn. Calvary assembly lost God's touch, but till this moment I listen to his music and albums and have used it for the people who are just starting down the road to christ .I don't know if anyone out there would remember a story about Carman he told about the beginning of his life with God a story about getting on a plane and not acting very christ like. It was like 10sec...then I walked up the major operation was done, i told to my wife what I saw...my wife cried as she told me that I was in a comatose for 3days!
