Glad to have competed in this tournament, and I hope that I can participate alongside everybody again in the next iteration of the Kill Pete Open. It has been a blast!

GGs everyone 🔥 This was an insane experience and what an intense game it was! Understandably I made some mistakes that I never usually would, cause the nerves were UNREAL but I hope to improve from this experience, as hopefully in future, the pressures of other finals won’t feel nearly as daunting. (I’m gonna review the Vod to see what I missed now) And thanks Pete for this opportunity!

This final round was nuts. It was kinda hard to pay attention to because the map was so big and the pathing was so crazy. Kudos to you guys for setting up this final round...this really did test the skill of the players in a way that I really haven't seen done before. There is only one way to escape the deep chasms of empty space...and the answer comes from within!

I loved both your analyse( yours and your buddy, whats his name, stupido right 😂) , showing 2 major orange fails.. and even doing half off it would have meant blue was first out anyway, followed by orange. Funny how it turned out.

I wonder how orange is feeling after knowing he essentially lost the game because he missed a card from running out of time. Alas, he will surely know better in future tournaments and likely dominate. It's hard work to path multiple kills especially with portals, so many opportunities to win throughout the game. Very exciting 👏

Not a fan of card skipping but I did it for about 15 rounds in a game last night. I was trapped in a 1 space in/out only situation. Long story short I had enough blocking so other players all chose to go different direction and attacked eachother. I waited til was only 2 of us left and saw the remaining player lose 80 troops taking a capital . Then fortified my 300 stack into position thinking he'd fortify some huge number by me but he didn't so I blasted through all his territories. He eventually died on my original card skipping spot and it was game over. Probably 1 of only times I've ever felt it was best move. I was getting 15 troops a turn and new they were jmkilling eachother while I was stacking unharmed.

Thanks for the Tourney. That was a joy to watch! ♥ SPOILER: 34:48 Nobrainer kill here. Blue really has to thank Orange for the win. Being the fish with five cards and the guy who has lines on you for an easy kill does literally nothing is quite a thing to happen 😁 Something must went wrong on Oranges side. @@TheKillPeteStrategy I'm concerned to not see a cancel subscription option. I've seen this before and it means that users have to email the company to cancel a subscription. I noticed when I was looking at account stuff and noticed how empty it was. As for the AI, I'll get back to you on that part. I was going to try out the art AI to see its capabilities and so forth. And then I'll see if it can manage code language it specifies better than ChatGPT 3.5 (which is free). Or, if it can actually do some other languages too, just wasn't designed with that in mind. Basically, to test its capabilities :P Obviously what it advertises is what one should expect so I'm going into it with that in mind, but given consideration to free alternatives. With respect to art AI, there's not much that's free, and what's free usually isn't great and has a water stamp across it. So we'll just say it's not competing with free on that front. Nor is it competing with mid journey as it doesn't hyperspecialize in the art creation. I've used/seen a few different results from various AIs on this front, I'll let you know my opinions once I try it out with a use case in mind
@plazmafield
@plazmafield Жыл бұрын
The AI response is able to handle languages it doesn't advertise. The text output is slow, though maybe I just need to change a setting. It seems to give up quickly, but to be fair, I didn't exactly give it a straight forward task to solve

Hey Pete, what do you think should happen to bot outs? There needs to be some kind of punishment. I lost a game today because 2 people botted the same turn in a 4 player remaining game so they didn’t take a card and sat on 2 cards. I had the kills lined up and was going to win easily with the kill sequencing. Ended up getting 4th because I couldn’t set with the kills and ended up dying to the remaining player because he targeted me first the next turn.

Gotta say, IMO alliences on progressive really kills the strategy of taking a bonus, like the co casters story about taking an early bonus and suddenly everyone starts cooperating to take you down. Every game just turns into the same "spread out your troops and look for kills" game, there's no room at all for any defensive play beyond just spreading out, something you want to do anyways to make easier kills. And heaven forbid you fall ever so slightly behind and get unlucky with your cards, they matter even more than usual because the total troop count is lower as nobody can hold a bonus :/
@TheKillPeteStrategy
@TheKillPeteStrategy 9 ай бұрын
Believe it or not prog world dom can stalemate. In a world finals like this one with all excellent players we needed a way to incentivize action. Players taking bonuses on this board would have risked stalemating the game which we succeeded in avoiding the whole tournament. Some prog maps are bonus maps. This one plays better when nobody has advantage
@sproge2142
@sproge2142 9 ай бұрын
@@TheKillPeteStrategy I'm sorry, I don't quite understand, could you please explain what makes this map more likely to stalemate? And I don't quite understand how alliences incentives action, when all the players know they'll get ganged up on if they go for a bonus there's no incentive for any aggressive action until they can recoup their losses by stealing cards. And there's not enough easy bonuses for everyone, and those easy bonuses are quite exposed, so I just get really confused. Thanks for taking the time to respond and explain stuff, mighty nice for such a big youtuber to take the time to do it! ❤️
