Catahoula Lake in Louisiana also has a culture like no other. Not saying it's better or worse, or comparing it because they are both so different. Bout the last place you can see miles of outboards on the river with keys in them and mud motors at the mouth of the lake and you don't have to worry about anyone stealing anything, and come back home with a strap with of nearly every species in North America. I do love some Arkansas and north LA flooded timber hunting though. Definitely has a culture to it. I agree though that duck hunting has changed for the worse and it has become a rich man's sport in my opinion. Edit to add: Louisiana seems to have a lot of flyway shift to the west. Texas is seeing a lot of ducks these past few years, the coast of LA used to be incredible and now its mainly dos gris and black jacks.

I hate hunting southern California, way too high pressure. And a lot of idiots around there.

In arkansas the private land owners manage their land way better than the AGFC does, bayou meto is not the duck capital of the world, last time I was there two years ago didn’t see a bird for a solid two hours and didn’t kill anything, but if you drive around bayou meto and checkout the private places they are full of birds. Love luke Baylor talking about we need water and the Agfc refuses to flood the wma’s because they say all the fall flooding is killing the trees, but I guess all the spring flooding doesn’t harm the trees lol. They should go out with random groups of hunters to see how some of the douche bags act on the wma’s as well, they come in and try to run people out of holes like they own them and actually say “this is our hole” and when people set up a 100 yards from you and sky bust your working group and/or start peppering you, but the like to gather up at the cut and check people for plugs instead, good job Agfc.

I hunt the Rio Grande River in central New Mexico in the Southwest USA. I have seen an increase in ducks in the last 10 years. I would love to hunt ducks in Arkansas and Louisiana.

Around 4 minutes for the local media types hosting this show to force pivot to the “climate change” narrative. Hell of an editing job! What a joke.
