Great videos man. I just got a 2005 infiniti g35 rev up sedan manual and it does not seem to burn oil yet at 115k miles. Do you recommend a 3 port catch can or a vented catch can set up? How many miles were on your coupe when you cleaned the intake plenum? Does it really get that dirty because of the PCV? I am assuming you will now test the oil can after u cleaned the plenum. Can just the intake plenum be removed to clean or does the bottom one have to be removed as well? Thanks

Hey Mo! I currently have 156K on my 05 Rev up. It was pretty oil soaked in the plenum. It appears to have had oil coming from both the intake vent tube located on the driver side, and the PVC valve located on the Passenger side (USDM). I would recommend removing both upper and lower plenum as it doesn't take much more time removing the bottom plenum but makes it far easier to clean. About three 12oz cans of brake cleaner and a little scrubbing, they will look like new again. After the cleaning I drilled my PCV and connected both valve covers to the oil catch can which is a "vent to atmosphere" style. There is no possible way for oil to get into the intake system now, and another benefit is that the hot oil vapors no longer contaminate the cool clean air that enters into the combustion chamber. My only Con to this set up is on longer drives. I begin to smell the oil vapors being vented to atmosphere when I am stuck in traffic.

@@Mohdr121 Hey Mo! So far my oil consumption seems to be manageable at 1qt every 2 Thousand miles. At times I think the chain rattles but it is rare. If it becomes more frequent, I will defiantly replace the tensioners.
