@emsleywyatt - Some do, but some actually take action to try and rectify things. Words don’t mean anything. Much of what Trump has been doing, since sworn in on 20 January is illegal, or at least, very questionable. Dems have had since November 6th, to prepare their defense and responses against Trump. To organize and prepare their law suites. Or rally’s. Boycotts? Did they do any of that? Nope, at least that I am aware of, or read about. Furthermore, speeches made to a partisan crowd of Senators in Congress does what, exactly? i am not alone in the opinion that the Democratic Party did a very, very poor job in getting their message across to Americans. Both before and after the election. The corporate media was complicit in focusing their attention on everything Trump or MAGA Congressional leaders had to say, at the expense of Harris and the Democratic opposition, in the run-up to the election.

The Dems have had since Nov 5th to organize, strategize and mount their defenses to all the carnage trump said he would unleash…and they did nothing/little. The Democratic messaging to the American people was ineffective and weak in the run-up to the election, and that played a big part in determining how many voters voted (for Trump), or did not vote at all. Post-election, the Dem’s message is still weak and ineffective. What have I done? Write letters and call my state reps/Senators in Congress…encouraging them to file law suites against many of the illegal EO’s from trump…and now, Elon Musk. Push them to strongly fight back and first and foremost, take action. Or, as Trump once said, the people “better fight like Hell, or you won’t have a Country”. I don’t think dem’s are “fighting like Hell”. They still act like this is still the 1980’s, when most politicians were civil, respectful and sane. Those days are gone. Sanity with the MAGA-controlled Congress no longer exists. Michele Obama repeatedly said, “when they go low, we go high”….that is so irrelevant, today. To do so will inevitably mean getting run over at every election. When you have a sizable number of right leaning Democrats like Pa’s Fetterman, that has repeatedly voted with MAGA, on many of Trump’s cabinet nominees….makes you really question what is the Dem message these days? Who are these Dems that advocate that those in gaza should be removed, permanently, from Gaza…like Fetterman?? I’m not sure i have much faith in the Dem Party to be able to mount a successful campaign to fight Trump’s neo-Fascist policies.

I know all of you are trying to stand your ground for all of us. I also listened to Rev Ed Trevor’s earlier tonight. He spoke of the Reverend B, who spoke in her church to The First Felon on Inauguration day. She spoke to him asking for compassion for his fellow man, woman, and child. He spoke of the harassment and threats she’s received. Rev Ed also explained HR 59, and my heart broke for our country. How can Donald J Trump and his followers be so cruel? How can they be so cruel to the billions or trillions of other humans around the world? What happened to the oath they all took? Why are they allowing all of this to happen? What kind of hate lives inside these people? Our people? All of us? What kind of hate allows destruction? What kind of humans live with such greed and lust for power? I feel ashamed with all who are looking upon us realizing these United States are not the greatness nor example of what we should be to be able to support humanity here and abroad. My parents lived thru the Great Depression. Their parents lived and taught during WWII. The fought against everything that is showing its ugly face again here and now.
