I'm obviously not a HC but I think that Jim should've started Taylor so that Justin would've had another week to heal his ankle for playing against the Chief's. High ankle sprains can take a while to completely heal. If they don't sit Justin long enough to heal it could take a long time to heal. I know they thought we had enough deepth in just about every position. But it's obvious that the guys we've got aren't what we need for back ups. They're just not cutting. I'm REALLY hoping that Slater and Alt are going to be good to go fir the Chief's game. If they're only like 50% or so ready, I think I'd keep them out also. We've got plenty of games left and we need them to be as close 100% as possible to keep Justin protected.

You may be talking a bit too much like a homer here Michael re Chargers winning that game.... 🙂We did absolutely nothing on offense in the second half, and Gus is not the answer (in fact I'd like to see Vidal get some carries). We got beat in the trenches on both sides of the ball. We made Fields look like a good passing QB. 25-32 for 245 is way too productive for a QB of Fields' ability.... It was tough loss but not a bad one. This game was always going to be difficult based on it being a second consecutive game on the east coast (even though they stayed there, which is not ideal), and Pittsburgh being a tough/solid team. As you noted, I'm more concerned about the injuries. No surprise that the china doll Bosa went down but we're deep there with Tuli.... but losing Slater and Alt is tough and of course Herbert. If we are left with Pipkins at LT we're in big trouble... We need to incorporate some kind of deep threat into this offense... Davis needs to see the field on occasion to stretch the defense and give us a home run threat...
@chaneystcgstore46924 күн бұрын
Once again we get slammed by depth issues. If we can't keep everyone out there, this season will take a turn for the worse. Three players that have to be in to win is Herbert obviously, Alt, and Slater. Without them I really think we don't have a chance

I count 8 starters probably out for Sunday's game. Bosa, Herbert, Gilman, Alt, Slater, James, Palmer, Ogbonnia, Both safeties, 2 on the defensive line, 2 on the offensive line, the QB and then No 1 receiver Another year of injuries. Whether they won or lost a healthy Charger team could have sent a message to the Chiefs. No now. It will be how can we not lose by 30pts. Watch there will be at least 2 more starters who can't finish the game due to injuries.

Us not having a true WR1 I think is killing us. Q is doing FANTASTIC though. Roman's game plan stunk after halftime. He made crappy adjustments for sure. We gave up on our running game way too soon. They didn't have Gus pounding the ball the whole game. That's what gave us the 2 wins, him softening up the D line then JK running like a mad man. I see we just signed a new WR to the PS, but he's like a WR3 or 4. He doesn't move the needle. I think maybe Joe should try to trade for Amari? I've got another message after this one.

I wanna highlight the defense for the EGREGIOUS penalties we got. It was real sloppy , very uncharacteristic , that Mack call was a bad roughing the passer call that shouldn’t have been called, but again, that wasn’t the decision that tilted the favor of the game. We had a lot of 3 and longs that we won but defeated ourselves with those penalties. Herbert is not going to lead the Chargers anywhere. He's injury prone, for whatever reason, and isn't willing to play through. Bosa should've been traded 3 years ago. The only thing that's changed from last yr so far. New staff, players, same frickn injury problems, we started out 2-0 only because of our weak azz schedule. Otherwise same o fuckn Chargers! I started out being hyped, not anymore.

Taylor Heinicke needs to step up, and play better. Dont panic Bolt ⚡ fans. Its early in the season. I say rest Herbert. head into the bye week and then make a healthy run. Bolt up ⚡ and its still F😈ck Faiders ⚡⚡

The past games have raised in question the suitability of Greg Roman as offensive coordinator and the personal he chose, meaning the tight ends he chose, the no return of Mike Williams who they tried to say he went for 15mil while the real contract is 7, which was doable, and he wasn't going to sign for peanuts. The Chargers did not look that bad in the previous Steelers encounter as SoFi. The decision to play Justin Herbert is more about emotion than a cooler rationale. So yeah, plenty of blame goes to Harbaugh and Greg Roman.

start Taylor Heinicke this week against the KC Chiefs , you never know . Also, its better to be safe than sorry if Justin Herbert gets good rest in the bye week & get ready for Denver.

When you disagree with Jim Harbough, he is right and you are wrong. Period. This man knows what he is doing and he does exactly what he wants.

The injuries going into a match against KC is definitely worrying

Gus buss is ass bro. He runs right into the blocker every time lol. If he just hit one jump cut per run he’d be soooo much better

completely disagree with everything you said about the defense. The defense is the best component to this team. Defense is trained to hit hard and be aggressive. Its not their fault the NFL is soft and caters to the offense. Derwin James is a dog. Asante is a dog. The problem in the 4th Q is that the defense couldnt rest bc the offense was trash with out Herbert and others, and they would 3 and out within 60 seconds of play clock.

Staying out there on the east coast may have been part of the problem. Penalties, miss tackles, injuries, and miscues. Bad preparation and bad coaching leading up to this game. Hope Harbaugh sees this and makes adjustments next time were on the road back to back.
@Cbreezy745 күн бұрын
@@michaellatil7866 highly doubt that was the issue. You can’t plan for that many injuries in one game. That’s just how the cookie crumbles unfortunately.

My wife and I stayed at the same hotel as them and I can tell you one thing. I stayed up real late for the 5 days we were there because I was so excited about the win in Charlotte. But EVERY night I was outside by the entrance to the lobby. I'd see a lot of them coming back to the hotel drunk as all HELL! One night there were 3 of them stumbling back to the hotel. One of them, not gonna say his name, but he's a huge TE that sat on a wall there that was at least 8ft high. He saw me sitting there and said hey mister catch me when I jump down! I'm 5 ft 11 160 ok, this guy's got me by at least 100 pounds! I tried catching him but he fell into the bushes below, I did all I could to help him. He landed hard on one of his ankles then hit his head on the cement pretty hard. I'm like WTF!! I helped him up and walked him to another player and said take care of him ok? He was limping the whole way. Well 2 days later when they had their 1st practice he had to sit out because of his ankle. He ended up playing but had no affect in the game because he didn't play that many snaps.
