She seems to be a dignified and pious lady. It's unfortunate how she didn't had any surviving children. It's painful how she requested her sister in law to consider her children as her own.

What a shame that she....or indeed Prince Albert...(Victoria’s husband and consort)....died a young age, when they were so forward thinking and charitable...and left the throne to the long lived and reigned, self centred Queen Victoria, who seemed to wallow in her luxurious misery and think nothing of her poverty stricken subjects....

Now-a-days Victoria is starting to be spoken of in the same manner as Juana the Mad of Spain. Her excessive grief does not appear to have been a sign of a completely healthy mind, but she was lucky enough not to have a son strong enough to push her aside and take over as a regent/king like Juana did (Charles V).

The obsession about the pins that the narrator speaks about toward the end; it's possible she was so focused on having them "where they belong" was because it was the one thing she could completely control.

Honestly I don't remember hearing much about Adelaide growing up but to be fair I'm not from the United Kingdom but to be honest I'm from the United States and knowing everything about every single queen is not well known my country from the United Kingdom to be completely honest heck we don't know much about every single first lady who served in the white house or those who had the honorary title even if they were not married to the president we don't know them growing up for the very least it's not very common growing up besides maybe all the way up to like Eleanor and maybe mentions of Teddy Roosevelt's wife or in between some for the first ladies but there's a reason why I'm putting that comparison there and I think it's sad considering that the queens of England brother married into or Queens in their own right by birth or circumstance in the possibility of taking the crown or not taking the grandma taking care of the throne as the region for the next coming ruler comes to age I find it pretty fascinating how much I don't know about Queen Adelaide I think of her as a interesting not too well known Queen before Victoria in fact I think it's kind of sad that I don't know much about her relationship with Victoria I mean I've heard mentions of her before and other connections when it comes to relative outside the stuff you expect when learning about Victoria I remember hearing some things about Adelaide being the queen before Victoria but not much else but at the very least I was familiar with Adelaide's legacy being close to Victoria being loving Aunt for marriage I mean to be completely Frank I'm not saying that's not common thank heaven it is more common nowadays Victoria had a loving aunt that she could be close to even her her mother disapproved or simply did not think being close to Adelaide wasn't a good idea honestly I felt like that was a Missed opportunity but to be frank Victoria's mother has always been a bit of hard character to understand even if nowadays more and more information about her says that Victoria's mother was actually a very loving caring mother I'll be a very controlling and more showing her controlling side through her then the loving more gentle side nature the Victoria simply did not see until she became much older or honestly she didn't really start changing her personal preview of her own mother and tell her mother passed away and she looked at more details of her mother's belongings and realize the Victoria's own mother was a very complicated person like she was and that she was trying to keep victorious safe from people she might seem dangerous for the connections could lead up to conspiracies to remove Victoria from the throne or simply control Victoria outside of Victoria's mother and well we know the rest for those who are not aware of Victoria's mother had a tutor that was very controlling over every move of Victoria made when she was growing up I can't remember his name Lord something or maybe not that and it's funny cuz I remember hearing his name all the time when I would watch these movies documentaries or anything about Victoria when I read about it and because of this man and how Victoria's mother governed her daughter to insanely and controlling points I think one of the reasons why Adelaide wanted to be close to Victoria was to give Victoria a breathing space and to feel a different nature of a loving opiate different environment of a loving family I doubt this but I feel like it might be hinted but this might be going far and I don't think Adelaide never had these opinions but at some time the fact that she was hoping that Victoria's mother would consider Victoria one of her own children or at the very least love Victoria to be closer to her I think Adelaide wanted to be more motherly towards young Victoria at the very least a gentle maternal figure to least get her head cleared away from her controlling mother and give her space but also lovely to be at least a loving Aunt towards her niece especially the one that will be coming queen and to be there when Victorian might need someone who's a little more experienced in these things than her mother Victoria's mother I mean I don't know I have no interest in believing the Adelaide wanted to replace Victoria's mother but there are days where I feel like Adelaide may have wanted to very very secretly to never reveal facepalm some of the ridiculous stuff that Victoria had to go through even if it was train Victoria for the future of the crown I don't know I just I don't know I just feel like there's this weird unspoken maybe I'm reading too far into it annoyance that Adelaide wanted a child male or female she did not care she didn't want to take Victoria away from her mother but she can't help but feel like she me but in a way that Victoria was being used and potentially a puppet to her tutor that comes to the throne if not potentially her own mother being one of those people who wanted to control Victoria through the crown until somehow Victoria could not be controlled any further or be completely wrapped around her mother's finger but I think the primary thing is that the way the Victoria was contrading her daughter even through a loving nature that I can only help Adelaide could see maybe I'm reading too much in this but she was basically pushing Victoria away the more she tried controlling Victoria and here Adelaide wanted to have her own children and even if she was a little too adopt her own children through the family members or something else it would not be the royal heir to the throne and even if she was allowed to remarry after her husband's death it would have been too late and even if she was allowed to adopt a child it may not look good for her to do so and here Victoria's mother was practically wasting to a certain degree honestly not completely okay I know it's complicated I practically made it clear it was complicated with her own daughter

From Adelaide in South Australia, Greetings ! You have started well enough but your story is incomplete. Those intrepid colonialists of 1836 in this “free Colony” ( no convicts ) chose Adelaide as its name. The main street is called King William Street and of the the five squares of this new city, the main square is called Victoria Square. Today this modern city of 1.2 million people has three international universities and a modern airport with connections to Asia and Europe. Around Adelaide are the famous wine regions of Clare and Barossa Valley and Adelaide now exports Jacobs Creek wines to London and Grange Reds to Tokyo. Of the six state capitals in Australia, Adelaide is the only one named after an English queen. And oh…last year Adelaide was voted in the top 5 livable cities in the world by the Economist. That was Queen Adelaide’s legacy.
