I remember this chart, was extremely surprised to see Brian Adams and the Beastie Boys being classed as "heavy metal".As for "Gaye Bikers on Acid", I remember reading somewhere that several record companies had all been clamouring to sign them (think they eventually signed to Virgin) as they reckoned they were going to be the next big thing. Then I don't recall hearing any more about them after the single Git Down. So much for that....

The Aerosmith track is the only one not firmly rooted in 1987. Still sounds great.
