That face is Jello Biafra, the singer of Lard, who used to be the singer of The Dead Kennedys, who were one of the most influential american punk bands. Jello Biafra was basically like the American version of Johnny Rotten, not the kind of person to mess around with, otherwise he would give that strange stare, which is such a classic photograph !!

I think there is just two Indie Charts from 1989 that haven't appeared in KZbin now. 21/01/89 and 27/05/89.

I will go to the BFI again, but I don't think it would be this year. I would like to see some dance charts in the future, but who knows whether it will be at the BFI or even episodes I find.

I forgot about the 16th Feb 1991 dance chart, which sadly was blocked on KZbin. However the uploader of that never really came back to sort it out.

I love the cover that the chart show used for the Power of Lard single. If they had used the real cover of the single, which was a deformed penis, I think it would have brought many kids nightmares !! LOL

Interesting, the Indie Hits book published by Cherry Red, has the Lard song getting to No.4. What methology was used here to compile this chart?.

I remembered reading that the ITV Chart Show used the indie chart by ringing up several indie shops and getting a chart from that. And that was it. The Channel 4 Chart Show in the 80's used the indie chart from MRIB, which is the same source as the Cherry Red's indie chart book.
