Well I doubt he got over 6,333.33£ during his build-up, so not directly. But, they did get one more step on the final chase just by him being there, which essentially saved them.

Well Alistair had the best cashbuilder of the team at 7k so I was a bit shocked when he never answered anything because I thought he'd be quick on that. Fred had 6k in his cashbuilder, Roger had 4k but sadly got caught while Ginger had 6k Also would like to comment that assuming Jenny got all of her head to head questions right, she should have caught Fred and Ginger because both had 3 wrongs in their head to heads.

In a team of three or four one person will get on a roll and one of the remaining members can be reluctant to buzz so as not to stop the flow.

Yes. The Vixen was one question behind at the end. If Alistair wasn't there, they'd have had one less point and they'd have lost.

To be fair Alistair could have been pressing his button but just a fraction later. There is a bit of an art to pressing the button before you have recalled the answer just on the basis that you know you know the answer.

An art, but not a science. I highly doubt 99% of people can in a fraction of a second know they know an answer, then press a button, then say the answer they know. Its more efficient cognitively (and most likely time-wise as well) to know the answer, press the button, say the answer.

True, but I think that can be said for most continents. If you ask Britons about facts from the large English speaking countries, such Australia, USA, Canada, etc, and some of the smaller English Caribbean countries/islands, I think they would know some facts about them. But, if you ask most Britons even about European geography, they would struggle. I would also say that they would struggle with British geography.
