Here's one thing I can't help but wonder... Suppose he took -£1,000 or £0 and made it to the Final Chase... but none of his teammates did, therefore he'd be playing for -1,000 or 0... What would happen?

+GondarthReturns when no one gets thru they all come back for the final chase for 4000 so I think he would play for a nominal prize of a 1000

He plays for -1000 pounds, goes to the final by himself, he doesn’t answer any questions in the final, so he has 1 step total, and Anne will sit back and relax for the whole 2 minutes answering no questions, so although she will face the embarrassment of losing to 1 step, Keith will have to pay ITV £1000 for winning

They usually take "middle of the road" contestants because they would be giving money away otherwise. If it's charisma, I don't know what criteria would they get to.

Oh boy I wish Mark Labbett was the chaser in this episode as his facial expressions at Keith's performance would've been hilarious.. plus his comments too.Nice sarcasm by the uploader,actually almost had me falling for it .. eg ''the finest contestant in the The Chase's history ;)... There's a lesson right there ladies and gents.. ie don't blitz the auditions for a quiz show and the producers will have you onboard.No way in hell did he come across as a 'smart' contestant and that's why he got a gig.Turn up as a Mr Know it all and they'll show you the front door.

Sometimes it's charisma more than knowledge and Keith had that by the truckload! I happened to know him extremely well and contrary to some of the dickheads who left snide comments like Rooban, I know him to be a very intelligent guy, so don't take a six minute clip of a TV appearance as testament to one's intelligence because you just look stupid yourself. Go Keith! Your personality outshone all the high-scoring contestants and your humility is the stuff of legend!
