Five full minutes of pure fun and destruction sprinkled with terminator humor. I love how the 2 terminators tried multiple ways to rid the other off but the other party keeps coming back. This is by far the best scene of the entire movie.

This scene is badass but other than that it's too much of a T2 imitation. Good old terminator vs new and improved bad one. Keep getting away and eventually the T-800 kills the newer model and they both end up dying.

Reduce the amount of comedic moments in this movie and it would be a few more stars for sure. Not trying to be mean, but logic like this is the reason we don't get proper sequels but rehashes of the original two. Two of the best sequels (T2 and Aliens) have used little to no "gimmicks" from their originals (however memorable). They were great standalone films in their own right.

This is the one scene in T3 that felt on par with the previous Terminator movies. It feels EPIC. And that's what defined T2 - it's hard to describe the sheer epic scale of that movie. But this epicness served a purpose. Terminators have no regard for themselves and others and only their mission. When the T-1000 chased Connor in that tow truck in T2 what make it so scary was HOW it drove. It didn't matter how many cars or objects it hit. It didn't matter how much it destroyed its own vehicle. So the T-1000 FELT terrifying. This scene captures that feeling. It's not mindless Michael Bay destruction. The TX doesn't care about anything other than its mission. For a moment this movie felt like the originals. The movie as a whole isn't bad it's just not as epic. But this scene brought it close to that greatness.

T3 bounced back and forth between practical effects and CGI, but the problem is the practical stuff looked great while the CGI didn't. You can clearly see the disconnect between the two and it hurts the movie. That and the fact that Nick Stahl was a terrible John Connor. If they had polished the effects a little better and Edward Furlong had gotten his shit together to be in the film, I think it would've made a huge difference. Ultimately, T3's flaws weren't the story so much as how sloppy the movie was put together.

Looking back, I love T3. Not as good as the first two but an adequate ENDING to the trilogy. I don't recognise the sequels after this one

T1 had a perfect ending. T2 was so good that it justified ruining a perfect ending. And then it tied everything up very well. T3 was even more unnecessary and a garbage remake of T2 with awful acting. Salvation was a bit better. Genysis could have saved the franchise but ended up being a convoluted mess with an amazing opening future war sequence. I would have liked to see parts 2 and 3 though, the story could have come full circle, tie up everything and make sense by the end of it. And it could have redeemed part 1. Dark Fate was a definite step in the right direction, but still only ok.

It undermines the accomplishments of Terminator 2, along with also undermining the theme that Terminator 2 ends with. "There is no fate but what we make for ourselves". It isn't terrible like Genisys or Dark Fate, but it isn't amazing either. It is an okay film that is trying to live up to Terminator 2, whilst also undermining that film.

While I haven't seen every car chase in cinema history, I have high confidence in saying it is probably the best. I'm sorry, when that crane's cable ran out and it spiked itself into the ground, I was like, 'Holy sweet mother of God'...

@@jplegend98 and you expected them actually flip a real truck like that in live action? Sure they did real in The Dark Knight but the actions scenes in The Dark Knight aren’t nearly as memorable as the action scenes in this movie with CG or with no CG. Plus most of the destruction we see in this action scenes were all practical anyways.
@NeoConnor1

They did it for real in The Dark Knight because they thought of a way to do it for real in a way that would be possible and safe. The flip here not only wouldn't be safe to do, it's also not as plausible. However, the scene has good CGI. Both scenes are good action scenes.
