Like Shaun Williamson, Paul Ross is a celebrity quiz behemoth. Once you know he is on a team you know they will win. It would be fascinating to see them face off against each other! The Beast is always complimentary when a team performs well on him and it is close, but on the three clips here, he is sulky as anything. A bad reflection on his general performance.

I guess I should bring up something regarding Darragh’s final that I’m very surprised Brad didn’t: That last team that scored 19 (was really 18 with a push-forward) took *9 out of 9 pushbacks!* I believe that’s the joint-highest number of pushbacks executed by a team with 100% pushback accuracy, and only the second time this has been achieved. They really fought hard for that £9,000, which most people would consider a fairly paltry sum to go that all-out for (same case with the £6k bank from Shaun’s final). But the show is not about the big money; for this team especially, it was definitely about beating Darragh....although I imagine a lot of people by the end were like that schoolboy from The Simpsons, screaming *“Stop! Stop! He’s already dead!”* 😂😅

That episode was recorded in 2011, so before all the controversy.

Ik this is a late comment but did any of the chasers have any biggest losing margins during series 1-5?

In Series 3, Shaun lost to a 27 by 12 steps, and in Series 4, he lost to a 20+2 by 13 steps. Other than that, there weren’t that many massive losing margins in the Series 1-5 era.
