I have never been to Rock City but wondered what it was like, Thanks for showing us. The lights really feel festive. Your parents seem so laid back and relaxed especially on camera, awesome they were able to be there with you. How did Ollie like the ice cream?

I went there in the mid-70’s to negotiate with a chemical producer. Who knew there was a beautiful city lurking behind the industrial plants!

The only thing I like more than the UM counter is when you put motor sounds to Ollies making laps around the deck...... 🙂

Chattanooga is 35 miles from my home. I remember when the place was the dump, and it sure has changed in 50 years. I thoroughly enjoy your cruise of the inland waterways.

I agree about the inland waterways! So much to see and do.

Yea, Chattanooga use to be a industrial foundry town. But the mountains trapped the coal smoke in the city, making it the most polluted city in the country. You needed headlights to drive in the middle of the day sometimes. Now the foundries are gone an the air is clean.

Nice tour of Chattanooga. Its become a favorite place to visit. I need to go back. It's been awhile. They really made great use of their riverfronts. So many towns and cities haven't done so.

My wife and I really enjoy y'all's videos. I'm kinda considering doing the great loop myself, not so sure my wife is though yet. I like to have adventures myself. I'm a guy from Tennessee with a wife, two kids and a new granddaughter. I'm also a subscriber of salty reflections. I bought a net and the licenses and went shrimp trawling in South Carolina. so the great loop just might happen.

Awesome, we can't recommend doing the loop enough, it is really a fantastic journey! Congrats on your Granddaughter!

But did you see the choo choo????
@RebelCowboysRVs Жыл бұрын
At the least they drove by it but its easy to miss if your take Brood street, not Market Street. They also had to gave drove by Ruby Falls Castle as its on the way to Rock City. The Choo Choo is nice. The railroad museum is better. The Choo Choo is a hotel with stationery trains. The railroad museum has active trains that take you through the mountains.
@SchoandJo Жыл бұрын
Yes, we did see the train, but off the vlog! It was pretty neat heading to the top of the mountain.
