About a year ago, I was at Walmart and I had in mind to buy this TV and it was $135 so I'm on my way to checkout when my dad calls me and says "Hey I found the same TV for a much lower price" and it came out to $95 because it was a display model, no box, no manual, just the remote taped to the back, still have it, picture is amazing, no issues 🤙

Get ready to have a credit card, for a free activation, and one USB port, 3 HDMI ports, av connections.. Roku is realy cool with lot's of free stuff... You can even get a browser for 5.99 a month that I have yet to download. Some things cost but most of it is free... If you use something other than spectrum you can use your hot spot on your cellphone, and Philo is good allturnitive to spectrum cable... On the other hand you can get dtv, and spectrum at the same time... There is lots, and lots on it.

Best TV if you have bandwidth caps. You can watch way more hours of streaming video per month at 720P than 4K or even 1080P.

My intended use for this TV is as a monitor for my old Lenovo M92 desktop. I am replacing my Funai 720p TV that got zapped by lightning after years of service. I'm pretty sure the 1080 will deliver better quality for my spreadsheets than the 720p but would have liked to hear your comments on visual quality from up-close to living room distance viewing.. Dumb TVs are my preference but there are not many around. As of this note (March 2023) Amazon is charging $213 for this TV and I can pick one up at my local Walmart for $148. I would have liked to see a demo of navigating from regular cable TV (standard networks) to the Roku system and back again. That's possible, right? Also, I don't see numbers on the remote, so you can't just select your channel directly - you have to arrow-up and arrow down. For someone like me who watches cable, that's not good.

The 32 inch for the Home Office is just find for some of your shows, local News or News if you have cable, Sat or streaming service. You don't need anything bigger or a 1080P/4K TV for that.

I just purchased this exact TV on Walmart website do $118.00 after I sold my big Magnavox 50 inch LED HDTV which isn’t a smart TV, I look forward to enjoying that Roku TV when I get my hands on it. I ordered the 720p, if I would’ve order the 32 inch with 1080p, it would’ve been about $20 more which still wouldn’t been too bad. I been wanting a smart TV for the longest, it don’t have to be big with m living in a small one bedroom apartment, that 32 inch will be fine to me, plus I have a separate Amazon FireStick device that I had connected to the big 50 inch Magnavox TV. I hope the TCL 32 inch has one built in on it

There isn't anything here about playing MKV containers. I rip my Blu-ray and DVDs, use discs still because I prefer the menus and themes. But I also enjoy sometimes using quick access from USB. I'm sure all a Thumb Drive just has to be formatted with NTFS and then copy the MKV over, with SRT within the container and it'll be ready to go? That's how it is with my LG Smart TV. Don't have to stream anything...just full quality lossless video. My TV also supports DTS and AC-3, does this?

BacKYard sKy You probably got an older low end Roku that doesn’t support 5Ghz WiFi. So, it can only see and connect to 2.4 Ghz wireless. If you get a better model Roku, it should work.

Just an odd question. Bought two TCL TVs, a 32" and a 43", to be used in the SAME ROOM. Wanted to use the smaller one as a monitor for my laptop and the larger for typical viewing and streaming, only I soon realized the remotes are 'UNIVERSAL' in the sense that they are INTERCHANGEABLE, and that this condition may be the same for all TCL remotes. Therefore, attempting to use a remote on one TCL TV would interfere with the settings of the other. Now. The question: Is there any way, via options in SETTINGS or replacing the factory remotes with non-factory universal remotes which could emit different frequencies, to prevent the functions of one remote from interfering with the settings of the other TV? Told you it was an odd question. :-)

I am not sure which of the TCL models of the Roku TV I have access to. It's screwed into a wall bracket. And I keep trying to get it to search for the free 1968 movie: Ice Station Zebra and it only comes-up in rental or buy.....must-be KZbin in all their greed because you can't hardly watch movies without paying cash for them anymore it's such a racket! You use to watch movies paid-for by advertising but now you can't. You sometimes have movies with advertising on them but you still pay cash on them....it's a racket alright!

Funny you mention that, I am from West Virginina & we use Suddenlink - So your questions answer is YES! :) The TV remote has no numbers but you don't need them because your suddenlink box comes with a remote, the TV remote will just be used to select TV or any of the other apps on the SMART TV, the suddenlink remote will still be used to change the boxes channels to whatever station you like watching. Bought this TV for my mom who is 56 years old, early mothers day/birthday present and she loves it! She was using a old set TV before them bubble sets from the early 2000s lol, I said no MOM! we upgrading you, and I'm slowly trying to push her away from cable now and into hulu,netflix & other streaming platforms.

Roku doesn't really have a web browser, you could use a Fire TV and hook it up to that as it does come with a couple of web browsers you can use.. Not really the fault of the TV, just Roku. Why are you wanting to go to Google via your TV?
