Owning 4 RGT models and have to say I'm always impressed by the value for the money they give. And plenty of spare and upgrade parts available. This one looks like a cheaper alternative to a premium brand, but certainly capable of holding his own. Great review once again 👍🏻

Sure, it's really nicely kitted. But for me in Sweden, it's almost 200 bucks more than a SXC10 II. RTR. So I could get the SCX10 and kit it for like 150, and still come out cheaper. Sure, this is insanely speced, all the goodies. And I bet it's not a bad truck, rather the opposite. But it's a lot of money for off-brand.

Bad ass looking rig! Phil, I know it's a little older but you should look into the rebel rc rebelcon ( aka as the absima sherpa/ yikong yk4102 for you on your side of the pond) fully loaded with lockable diffs too..I love mine !

I like it. Only issue in the US I couldn’t get replacement drivetrain parts in 2 days or less. Most non drivetrain parts I could fab or adapt something but drivetrain stuff is pretty specific. It’s nice that the transmitter has a real momentary switch for a winch. I hope they sell those transmitters by themselves. It looks like Redcat uses the same manufacturer for transmitters too

For those who said "redcat gen8 is better" , "ftx is better", "it is expensive" Bro redcat,ftx and rgt is literally sharing the same exact parts. Just a bit additional from their company. Scx10 II has 100% same axle as rgt ex86100v2 lol. RGT is a premium crawler brand from HSP which is sharing most parts with Redcat. Buy an RGT and find an Axial parts. You can mount it lol

I wish it was possible to switch the steering to the other axle and switch the body around. That would give scale Rwd/4wd with a line lock on the front, and the winch in the front. My dream crawler would have a reverse dig giving you selectable Rwd/4wd, high/low gearing, selectable locking front and rear diffs, a front winch, and a rear tow boom with winch. A rear dig and front line lock would be nice too.

Hi Phil, have you got any idea how to change the endpoints on the DIG & 2speed servo's? I got one of these and fitted an 8.4v Dmond steering servo and a Hobbywing 1080g2 to provide 8.4v to the servo. I also got 2x Dmond 8.4v micro servo's so the 1080 doesn't burn them out but I have no idea how to set the endpoints on Ch7 & 8. Can you help me please? Thanks, Adam

$536 after “fees?” And shipping. Cool truck but far from cheap for a brand that isn’t supported by any local hobby shops. If it was ~$400 to your door then I could see it being at least in the price range of the gen 9 redcat. Trx4’s and scxiii’s can be had all day for $400 used and would be a better supported rig imo. Cool body though!

RGT keep delivering. Traxxas fans just salty about having to pay extra for stuff that should be included. Looks like brass bits from the LandCruiser should fit portals/diffs.

Hi! Lovely video and very interesting craeler! Just recently got into this “sport” from the complete opposite sport if speedrunning and I have to say it’s quite fun! Or … much more fun than I expected 😁! Quick question though…are the diffs in this locked? Ingit that you can’t remotely lock/unlock them but Inwas wondering if they are locked by default or if there is a non remote way to lock/unlock them!

I think the Brass for the Rescuer will fit the portals as they look the same. But RGT usually bring out optional parts
