"I am the captain-chef now" Mariana posits, Chef Will falling back to a deep slumber.

Having an armored fighting vehicle to go around the map and defend against sieges would honestly be really good. Hell, even if it's just a transport it's good, bc cars can't get infected, but people running around can. Just get to the location, disembark, shoot everything, get in the car if any infected come close.

Luci can be dealt with trading. If he gets Timon to trade with the rig every once in a while he should be able to secure enough luci as a buffer. Each pawn takes 12 luci per year and a single trading run should cover that.

This series doesn't need a grand ending. I think you should just find some luci so that Mariana can open the cyptocasket and Chef can finally see his wife's face again and they live happily ever after. To me, the goal all along was just to cure Mariana ... not to cure the world.

you know, for eliminating the fungoid hives, theres a flamethrower tank that can be built and its effective against lightly armored targets, its also a tier 1 vechicle and fairly cheap to make now that you have a big rig,just a suggestion

if you ever needed to get really sweaty, it might be worth putting some wood flooring down behind the base entrance, so if they break through you can put down a fire break with grill or an incindeary ied that isn’t dependent of corpses to sustain itself, i haven’t messed around with flamethrowers much but i imagine the fire burns hotter and longer on wood floors instead of rock or steel. also love the story keep up the good work

Hot take: The colony and maybe its ideology should revolve around bugs because bugs eat mushrooms and thereby harm them. And harming mushrooms has been Chef's crew longest passion. And the armour you found clearly means the game supports this idea.

this series should end where everyone but Timon leaves on the ship to get to safety. *familiar pirate music starts playing* As the ship disappears into the stars, a familiar ship passes by ;P Timon, scarred by this outbreak, opts to stay behind and become Goblin Slayer!!! scratch that.... Mushroom Hunter!!!! With Rimatomics, warcaskets, and a few other mods... -he firstly wants to entomb himself into a warcasket (like Goblin Slayer, because "all ways be ready for combat") -secondly he learns new ways to eradicate those disgusting creatures in mass (Nukes) -maybe after the first few clusters are atomized he decides to make his settlement a bit better (Build Base). making it a more relaxing place for his people - no idea how to end it BUT!!! i feel an ending should come to you along the way

Timon woke up so many ancient soldiers what if they became their own small faction? they were all in the same relative area so it is posable. Maybe recruiting a few wouldn't be a bad idea ether, the mushrooms started using morters and if he plans to make the vault more secure then hes going to need more people capable of fighting.

You can buy luciferium from outlander and empire towns. Consider making friends with them and sending a trade caravan to them. That's usually the only way that i can find enough luciferium.

You could put some a in the garage air locks, and when you get raided, you open the garage, them let them in, close, fire with the flamethrower and then get out. (Use a door, one slot and them a embrasure for that window). That way you might be able to "cook" them in there due the heat growing. Bonus if you put wooden stuff there to burn

I think that you should start rescuing and curing infected and maybe setting up a city or camp with Vanilla Outposts Expanded. Now you have the cure and Marianna is better, it's time for Chef Will to undo the damage he did and start curing the people he infected.

An interresting change of pace could be to cure some people and send them to the city to start setting up a large hospital base there. Some are sure to die for the greater good while the original cast stays in the base to produce supplies and tools, curing more people to work in the city and to replace losses. Maybe one or two visit the city in supervising roles every now and then and to deliver supplies. I would like to see it go in that direction at least.

It's a shame you can't add a Johannesburg carjacking defense system into the truck. Carjacking attacks are so common there that garages can install flamethrowers that hose down the area outside your doors.

I'm pretty sure that real ruins doesn't pull saved maps 1:1, but instead pulls pieces of them, things like small buildings, and then 'places' them randomly on maps, which is why you've never seen a throne room or a garden or an animal pen, or even a well build crafting room or lab; its all 'we're under budget' ruins. Also, you might want to rework the chunk line so it turns into a mase rather than a line, as then you can place traps.

It’s been awhile since I played with real ruins, but if my memory serves me right, it uses snippets of several bases Everytime map Gen is triggered. Meaning everytime Mr streamer generates a new map tile visiting a ruin/complex it spawns an amalgam of several different player and default bases. However Sam seems to be under the impression every map is one players base, and shocked at the lunacy of it.
