Easily my favourite Album of all time. From the music, to the artwork, to backstory of how the record was recorded by Tom and Ed, they worked hard on this one (as they always do) but this one pushed them close to the edge at times and I love that they pulled through to create this masterpiece that will always be in my heart and soul.

Я в 1999 году, смотрел MTV Russia, и после клипа Hey girl Hey boy, пошёл в центр Ставрополя , искать у пиратов альбом. Разумеется уже было всё готово, ведь тогда русские пираты работали над релизами быстрее, чем сейчас Apple Music. Диск стоил 20 рублей по-моему, могу ошибаться, но до сих пор в машине включаю именно его! Играет идеально. Все треки огонь!

I was doing a placement for my masters in Northwich. My mate Dan gave me the album for my birthday. I still remember hearing The Sunshine Underground for the first time in his car and thinking it was an absolute beast.

Yep! Agree 100% It was quite a groundbreaking album! And it settled the music trends in the electronica genre right after it was listened by fans and music composers alike! So sophisticated!

@@AzidHouse it didn't cross my mind! But sounds quite an homage of analogy! ...although, Prodigy, DJ Sasha, Orbital, Propeller Heads, Crystal Method, Paul Van Dyke, underworld,MKL, Daft punk, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and many other great artists catapulted the scene back in the mid/late 90's . It was quite a good time to be an adolescent looking for their taste in music, with so many epic choices per se!

Что ж, в честь 20-тилетия альбома выходит переиздание альбома на CD, DVD и LP! Можно порадоваться нестолько альбому, сколько би - сайдами и ремиксами с этотго альбома! И еще Братья выступали на фестивале в Гластонберри в 2000 году, круто там они выступили!!! У меня есть альбом на CD!!! Приобрету еще альбом с ремиксами и би - сайдами!!!

makeshiftbattlefield LOL! I think for many, this album made them a lot of fans! I haven’t been able to see them live yet though, they don’t come tour around Eastern Canada much. I also called them as having done the Score when I watched the movie, “Hannah”. I can pick them out of any band of that genre right away.

A note to consider: If you're going to release all of the promo videos from that album on the 25th anniversary DVD, make sure that all of the promo videos are in the correct aspect ratio (no odd windowboxing or pilarboxing issues).

Man 1999 year was on of the best years. Besides Surrender i remember albums form The Flaming Lips, Bling 182, Death in Vegas, Muse, Foo Fighters. In movies front 1999 saw releases of The Matrix, Fight Club, American Beauty, Green Mile, Iron Giant, Virgin Suicides and many many more amazing music and movies. The memories.
