As a person whose life went downhill by the end of 2019, who was jobless and got bashed by the pandemic, as someone who lost a very beloved one in recent months and saw his life falling apart from one minute to other. And as a person who right now is surviving and actually feeling that wings are growing out again...I must say that this song makes me cry buckets. There is something in the lyrics and the music that truly haunt me. The last 20 months have been so rough that right now I am afraid that as soon as i let myself go and be happy again, another tragedy may come. It is a terrible sensation. But at the same time I am appreciating the green of football fields, the metallic tones in skyscrapers, the red of watermelon (that is everywhere around this time of year), the blue in the denim that look so well in the girl that I am starting to like. The colors of life and their magic. I remind to myself that I wanna be happy again. I really hope that the darkness that I fear disappears this summer. This song is precious. It will be my song for this season, for sure. Thanks Chemical Brothers.
@bomferaloby26523 жыл бұрын
In my experience that darkness breaks when you least expect it- not when you ask it to- but, it’s timing is perfect. “There is nothing better than to know that you don’t know. Not knowing, yet thinking you know-this is sickness Only when you are sick of being sick Can you be cured The sage’s not being sick Is because she is sick of sickness Therefore, she is not sick” -71 That may not mean much to you now, but soon; all the beauty you’re seeing again is curing you. Party on homie🤘💯💝

sounds like a dark night of the soul, this is your awakening, go into the dark, go into the fear and sit with it, and when you can't stand it any more, surrender, this is how you let in the light, this is how you let your heart see the colour, you can't turn your back on the dark for it will forever chase you Let in the light, spontaneous awakenings all over the world right now, trust it will be ok

Man I love this tune! My 2022 has been a nightmare. I lost my Dad and my job nearly my house all in the space of 6 months. It rocked my world, well I nearly lost that too! This song and others kept my head straight when I could have quite easily given up and this one will always have a special place in my heart. So thankful for music and the friends I have! I'm never this open to complete strangers, I don't crave attention or sympathy either. I am just here to say that I'm still here! If you are reading this then so are you and I have massive respect and love for you for being here! I know it's just words on a screen but if you are in tough times and struggling, I just wanna say you are only human but you are tough, and worth everything it might take to get back to smiling again. Don't run from those times, run at them! Face them, learn from them and respect yourself like I respect you! Stay strong everyone and be happy!

Hope your still doing okay bro! I lost my nan last year, at 70, her doctors told her if she refused the c19 jab they wouldn't treat her if she got sick... She had it and was found collapsed on the floor a week later after some pretty serious COVID symptoms. It's hard to deal with shit like that, knowing it was somebody else's fault. I wanted so badly do go and sue the ever loving shit out of the NHS for it but what would that solve? Steal some tax money from needy patients? It sure as hell wouldn't come out of the doctors pockets. At the end of the day, although she was bullied into it, it was still her decision. She went behind the family's back as she was too afraid of the doctors. I haven't spoken about it much to be honest so sorry if I bring anybody down. Just need to get it off my chest. I wish you all the best of luck in a fruitful life! Shit don't last long so live well and do what you want to do.

I am very proud of You Thomas Giraffe! It is really good to know that people in Your age are listening to Chemicals! I remember myself when I was listening the british UK electronic music for the frist time. I was 10-11 when the Fat of The land of the Prodigy was released in mid 90s - it was amazing! All of my classmates were listening to pop music (Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, The Kelly Family etc.), but this was something offering completely different energy! Then I was starting research on other groups that led me to The Chemical Brothers, Fat BoySlim, Leftfield, or Underworld. What a f****ing amazing days! @@staigenerator2949 it's not that they're sampling - all of CB's work has sample sounds from Exit Planet Dust. Overused too. Жуткая ностальгия о тех временах, мурашки по коже и слёзы на глазах. The Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Portishead, Aphex Twin, The Prodigy

Hello everyone, Cheers from Deep South Texas ~ Rio Grande Valley ~ The Chemical Brothers have always shown the colors that my heart longs for. I give many thanks to them and their incredible work of music and videos. Everyone’s darkness exists in our connections to one another, and within us all is love, I hope you find peace and ultimate bliss throughout this darkness, whomever is reading this. Hang strong 🤙🏼💛

@dannym4702 жыл бұрын
@@harleyb7880 listen to the lead of midnight madness. Slow it down - exact same sound. Also, how many times can they use drum sounds from setting sun? You call me a hater but I'm their biggest fan, but not everything they touch turns to gold. They're the most involved in the genre but reusing old soundbanks is a BIG no-no and they're doing it more and more. Tsk tsk!

@@dannym470 Bro if. You don't like them anymore then don't listen to them. I love them tho I'll admit some songs like das speigel and orange wedge aren't good but the rest of their content is top notch. I'm not touching this...you do you.😎👍
@dannym4702 жыл бұрын
@@harleyb7880 you keep making this about me hating them, me not liking them. You're just the kind of clueless idiot that lets them recycle sounds and melodies, not to mention releasing the same song on multiple albums. Nobody is saying they aren't too notch, but some of us that have been around since the beginning of cb even edm notice. That you can't or won't is your limitation. Not mine.
