I have an idea of how to bring attention to your channel. Make a video that goes split-screen to prove the point with Caleb on one side & Fields on the other. Why? Because while I can find footage of Caleb doing things Jared Goff can't, I can also find footage of Justin Fields doing in the NFL things Caleb has only done so far in college & even a thing or two that I haven't seen Caleb do yet. It'll really p.o. a couple of fan bases. But it'll bring attention from even better-established analysis channels as well as fans. Of course I can't decide for you what angle you'd take on this bare fact, that'd be up to you. But 1) this is only gonna be relevant _this_ off-season & 2) no one else has the *balls* to make such a video. They will try to come here & put it down though. & that would be a win/win. Because of course that brings in more attention And second,... I think I'll keep the second part of the win/win to myself for now until I see if there's any interest.

The Bears have marketed themselves as a bruising, punishing smashmouth team that had a “running and defense” formula for decades. As a result, they never put any importance on the QB position, as they saw it as just a “handoff specialist” role anyway. The problem, though, is that Walter Payton eventually retired. But the bears’ philosophy didn’t. They continued putting all their resources into an outdated philosophy. And now, the “grabowski” ethos has become so ingrained in Chicago that it has infected every facet of the organization. Scouts don’t know how to look for good QBs, only RBs and defensive players. Coaches all try to be a reincarnation of Mike Ditka, they force RBs to be the second coming of Walter Payton, and the organization keeps trying to recreate 1985 year after year. And until the old witch Virginia McCaskey finally dies, nothing will ever change.

As much as I hate him it doesn’t get talked about enough that the Bears were one of the 23 teams that passed on Aaron Rodgers in 2005. I remember back then they were still trying to give Grossman a chance despite his injuries and inconsistency his 1st 2yrs. The fact that they drafted Orton in the 4th round meant they still felt the need for a QB to challenge Grossman and cue the monotone and obnoxious Lovie-ism “Rex is our quarterback” 🤦♂️ Now we can’t say for certain Rodgers would’ve been as good as he has become if he was thrust into starting vs sitting behind Favre for 3yrs, however, Rodgers would’ve loved to have those Bears defenses he usually shredded in the regular season when his Packers had all their playoff failures except for that time they beat Caleb Hanie with a pick-6 being the difference.

Justin was amazing with zero help and coordinator that wouldn’t speak to him during games. A GM that did not choose him and you how it goes in Chicago. Ownership did this to the team, no curse. Their conduct has been detrimental to the team since they kept Ditka and let go of Buddy Ryan. Yeah, nothing new about the ownership wetting the bed to the tune of billions of dollars. I think they were cool, with going 100 years without another championship. They refused to create an offensive line for all this time. Trying to put an over achiever at every position. Try getting elite talent to support the guys you already have. Nah, I’m going to get rid of the guy that brings the excitement every Sunday then support a rookie QB instead….. Forgive me, I'm about to rant in a funny way, cuz I'm a cheesehead, and the Bears history at QB is a joke when you consider the fact that they're the oldest NFL franchise, and never had a QB throw for 30 TD passes or 4k yards. Their single season record holder was in 1995, an UDFA in Erik Kramer, threw ~3.8k yards and 29 TD passes. Since 1992, the Bears have started the 2nd most QB's in the NFL (following only the Browns), they have started 38 with soon to be 39 with Caleb Williams. In that same time span, the Packers started only 8 different QB's, Majkowski, Favre, Rodgers, Flynn, Tolzien, Seneca Wallace, Hundley, and now Love. Even wilder, in a 20 season span from 2004-2023, the Bears have started 23 different QB's, if we were to go by the worst 20 seasons in Packers history, 1972-1991, literally between Bart Starr and Brett Favre, the Packers STILL started fewer QB's in that span than the Bears, 17. In that 20 season span for the Packers, 5 QB's were able to start a full season, Scott Hunter 1972, David Whitehurst (Charlie's Dad) 1978, Lynn Dickey 1980 1982* (strike shortened season) and 1983, Randy Wright 1986, and Don Majkowski 1989. Only 5 times in the 16 game history did the Bears start a full season at QB, and only once in the same span as the 20 bad Packer seasons were they able to do that, 1981 Vince Evans. Bears went 6-10 that year, lol. From 1972-77, Bears at least had 3 14 game starters before the 16 game schedule, Bobby Douglass in 1972, Bob Avellini in 1976-77. 2 times from 2004-2023 did a Bears QB start a full season, Cutler in 2009 going 7-9, Grossman in 2006 doing 13-3. Packers have 18 seasons with a QB throwing over 4k yards, mostly by Favre and Rodgers, most recently with Love, Majkowski 1989 and Dickey 1983 are the only other 4k yard passers we had. In the 16 game schedule era (plus the last 2 17 game years), 32 times did a Packers QB start all season. Helps obviously with Iron Man Favre starting how many games in a row. Incidentally, only 5 times out of 32 did a Packers start a QB all season and we ended up with a losing season, 1980, 1986, 2005, 2018, and most recently 2022. Packers also have 18 seasons with a QB throwing 30+ TD passes, aside from the usual suspects (Favre, Rodgers, and Love), the only other QB to do that was Dickey in 1983 with 32.
