I’m excited to see what Giddey can do for the Bulls. As a Thunder fan who watched every single game I’ve seen a lot of him and while I think he didn’t fit with this current Thunder He is a good player. He can play. Hope he does well for your Bulls. Take care of him.

Great breakdown! Personally - I am very high on Buzelis and I think it will take some time but he can be a top 3 player on a contending team. Giddey showed the ability to be a primary option on the national team, and I believe he can bring it to the NBA level. He could be a lead tall guard that can facilitate at an elite, get to the rim, and with improved shooting you won't be able to go under every screen... I love Zach Lavine and I think he will have a good start to the season so many teams would want him. I can see a trade with GSW, if Wiggins doesn't have a good start to the season. A trade like Lavine for Wiggins, Moody, Payton II, Gui Santos and 2 seconds. You get rid of 20M in the long run (Wiggins/Lavine contract swap), and get two interesting young players (especially Moody) that don't play the Guard spots... I really liked your Vucevic Trade. I believe Lonzo will be easily traded once he comes back - he will be a playmaking, 3&D big guard on an expiring contract that many teams can use (for contention, getting rid of money and more)...

True fans stick with teams thru thick and thin. Been thin for awhile for the Bulls. Lonzo injury really foiled everything. I am rooting for Lonzo, would be awesome to see him return and play well. Maybe you should add "no man's land" to franchise directions😂

We need to move LaVine, mostly. 33 mins a game that could be going somewhere else. I'd like to move Vuc but if not cut into your suspected 30mpg and give a few more to Smith and/or Matas. I don't feel settled about this "rebuild" because AK and Marc recently mentioned "not tanking" and building a team out of "existing, young NBA talent." And staying "competitive." Enter Giddey and Smith. Its not a terrible scheme given our situation, but not the greatest outlook. Like you I just hope "competitive" doesn't mean a play in team ceiling. Which in all reality is not competitive unless a truly solid rebuilding team with high upside players making upward progress in all areas over a few seasons. Each year coming back more solid than the previous, ceiling rising. So far as Giddey? I'm not nearly as high on him as yourself and some others, and most every positive in his game is offset by a negative. He needs to be considerably better. His acquisition is simply another example of management wanting a minor, potential "win now" piece asap. We're supposed to be rebuilding, right? So where is our draft pick for AC? Josh Giddey is not "just as well." Because we have Coby White. Who was our PG last season for 79 games, 36.5mpg, 19/5/5pg. And he was ready to rise to the occasion again, probably better than ever with DeMar gone and more responsibility given him. He's also a better, more well rounded basketball player than Josh. So...AC is gone, we have no pick, and a PG we didn't NEED? Well thats just great. Thats nothing against Giddey. I like him fine, he's an NBA talent. But in all reality he's a "good enough" basketball player and not a "very good" basketball player. Thats obvious on the court and backed up in advance stats.We see what he does soon enough. Blow it up? Tear it down? Idk? We're half in, half out. I'd love to have Zach and Vuc gone. Over an hour of game minutes right there to distribute to others. Phillips, Bitim, Terry? Throw 'em in the deep end. Matas? Sink or swim, kid. You're up. Giddey, Coby, Ayo, PW, Smith? You're starting...82 games, get ready. Seeds of a proper rebuild and if lucky a solid direction that might even see a couple of our young guys breakout. But this the Bulls...so I know I'm just dreaming.

​@@_AVC_ you're talking about Portland's pick. I mean Bull's original pick ( guess Bulls gave it to spurs as a part of Derozan's S&T but i might be wrong. I read this one is protected top 10. If it's right, Bulls can get one of top picks in case they really s...ck. And maybe spurs will agree to trade to Texas LaVine. Maybe Zach, .maybe + Dosunmu for keldon johnson/ collins/ jones ( some combination). Maybe i would even give spurs some 2round pick/s. But the main goal is to change protection of bulls' pick from top 10 to top 15-20. Why spurs could be interested? It looks like they want to persuade Wemba he can win the title with them. That's why CR3 and Barnes. And Zach has 3 years of contract. Just like Wemba's remaining rookey's contract. To be frank, stars aren't delighted to play in San Antoniio. So maybe it could work.

@@_AVC_ well , another idea ( hope i don't look like a nagger)). Spurs have 3 picks next draft: their own, that nentioned protected Bulls' pick and the last they got from Atlanta. Zach for Keldon and Tre Jones. Bulls give up the protection and get the second best of 3 Spurs' picks. Maybe even the worst. Atlanta is ruther close to trading Trae

You werent sure about where the bulls pick is this season so i got you. The spurs own the bulls 2025 pick as it is from the derozan s&t. Its top 10 protected this yr, and top 8 protected for the following 2 yrs. If it dosent convey then it is a 2028 2nd round pick. Yeah i probably had the bulls around the 10th/11th seed. They arent bad enough in the east to be at the bottom, i think lavine should be motivated to improve his stock and show teams what he can do (also hopefully stay healthy). Giddey being in a new environment where he can be the point guard i think will be nice. Theres not many teams at the moment off the top of my head that makes immediate sense for lavine i mean maybe the warriors, pistons, or clippers. Warriors and pistons would mostly be in desperation, clippers would be if they are healthy, winning games and wanna push by getting another option. Edit: one of my sentences didnt make sense because i used the wrong word so i fixed it. Im not the best with grammar but thought i should fix that

I don't know, it's hard to find a trade for Vučević and LaVine, maybe both for C.J. and Ingram, I don't know man, i have a soft spot in my heart for Bulls (Kukoč was my guy) and my pipe dream is Jokić and Luka bringing championship to the city, I think Chicago would be ideal place for them for obvious reasons, let's hope, on current roster I'm high on Giddy, Coby and Ayo, also Jalen Smith is nice pick up. Hope better days are coming...

@_AVC_ At this point of his career, he is really washed. He is supposed to be a stretch 5, but he shot below 30% from 3. He can rebound, but he is not a good defender. I could see the Grizzlies trading for him, but in a different deal.

@@LUC4Z3 I think we have to be careful with wording here. A center that gets you 18 and 10 is pretty high level. Obviously not at his peak anymore but he contributes at a high level and he is like always healthy. I kinda wanna blame the Bulls for his defense. Last year was pretty bleh for him all around but historically he is a pretty solid defender and has been apart of some great defensive teams. Thoughts?

@_AVC_ I think the 18 and 10 stat line was quite inflated by the fact that he was one of the only competent players in a really bad team. The defense could get better, but it doesn't seem worth it for a good roleplayer and a promising young player.

@@LUC4Z3 His career averages are currently at 17 and 10 so I don’t necessarily think that, but I agree that he for sure has his deficiencies. I think the thing to consider is the positional need more than anything. Like we all know they clearly really want another center, and preferably a starting center. This could be their best bet at doing it. To me, I would much rather get my starting center than have those guys as my 8th/9th men. I do like LaRavia though and I hope BC gets healthy.
