It's a really good filler with a very cool filler character, and it expands team 7's adventures a little bit and leads nicely to the next cannon arc.

I don't know if anyone's told you this, but the Uchiha also have perfect memory. So basically Itachi put him through "hours" of psychological torture, and Sasuke will forever remember every single moment of it all. It doesn't pass with time, it will always feel "fresh" in his memory.

is everyone saying this because the sharingan can technically "copy" images of reality and remember them forever? Like i've never heard they have perfect memory unless we're referencing the sharingans powers, which not every uchiha has.

@@thekamotodragon it’s stated in the manga on multiple instances, and it’s linked to the “copy” power. They aren’t copying the jutsu, they are memorizing and predicting hand signs required as well as reading the flow of chakra, so they can supply the proper natured and amount of chakra. Kakashi, for example, is mainly good at earth and lightning style, but can use water style, and those are the three styles he shows through both copied, and general, ninjutsu. Though, iirc, Kakashi has a basic level of mastery of all 5 nature transformations, those three are just the ones he’s most proficient with, but that doesn’t change the example much anyway. But as you said, it’s only with the sharingan. SPOILER after this: . . . . During the massacre it was shown that the majority of the Uchiha, having lived through the last war, had the Sharingan. Yes, there were a minority that did not, which were mostly the children. I said Uchiha, because it’s very typical for an Uchiha to unlock it, especially in a war torn world like Naruto’s. Hell, even if the massacre didn’t happen, I’d put money on all those children getting it during the subsequent chaos. Now the closest thing in the anime to truly explaining it, though they don’t actually talk about it, is when Sasuke is going through the true memories of that day, which weren’t slightly changed by Itachis Tsukuyomi, and having a complete memory of very important nuances of his brother, as well as his original Sharingan awakening, which is why his eye originally awakened with two tomoe in one of his eyes.

Itachi knocked on the door because it was a sensible lure for a very simple trap. Think about it: if you're hunting someone who doesn't know they're in danger, they're most likely to just answer the door. In other words, this puts them within your arm's reach with no fight at all. On the other hand, if you bust down the door and your quarry happens to be in the bathroom or out on the balcony, then they are alerted by the noise and have a chance to hide or escape. It also alerts other people nearby who may call for help.

Hot take: Naruto is the most influential anime of all time. Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, they brought anime to America and the rest of the world but it was still considered niche, it was for the weird kids or kids that wouldn't admit they liked it. Pokemon, Digimon, they brought anime to kids but we were too young to realize it was anything more than a popular cartoon. Even now I'm not sure it's really considered "anime" as a genre. But Naruto came out and got so popular among the right age group(s) that it normalized liking anime. Suddenly the weird kids were.. still weird but at least liking anime wasn't why. Everyone else wasn't afraid to talk about it out loud. It commercialized with video games and other media too. I think we can thank it for the success of anime as a whole in the US

Itachi for all his faults is a very polite man, he knocked on the door and waited for Naruto to answer. Tsunade finally properly introduced! She has one of my favourite character themes and is my (and many others) favourite female character in Naruto. I sometimes change my mind, but for character themes I rank Guy, Temari, Shikamaru as my top three. Tenten, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Konohamaru and Rock Lee are honourable mentions.

"So excited..." I believe you. Each episode, I can see you getting more into the show. In the first few episodes, you were able to calmly reflect on your experience as it happened. Now, it's interesting to see you lose your mind, at the twists of the show. The girl, as you observed, was a plant. Jiraiya most likely got the information he was after, released the genjutsu, then knocked her out. He was probably taking her home, so that she could sleep things off, until he sensed Naruto's fox chakra. That's probably why he was still carrying her. A lot will be happening soon. It's a bit of a slower burn, than the last arc, but you will learn a lot. Be prepared for that. I am glad to see you're still enjoying things. I am even more happy about how much you are into it, now. It's not just the main character's journey. There are so many interesting characters in the show.

Naruto just doesnt respect Jiraiya whatsoever their dynamic is hilarious xD they definitely do share some similarities :D respect to Sasuke for giving Naruto the props he deserves that was nice to see :) also loved how worried he was for Naruto after learning about Itachi :) I found it very intriguing here how Itachi didnt fancy himself against Jiraiya even though Orochimaru said Itachi is stronger than him :P the whole knocking scene was brilliant, Sasuke ending up at a different place and Naruto just coming face to face with Itachi who was so polite he knocked :D finally we are here, 80 episodes in the making :) at last we got some context when it comes to Sasuke and Itachi and the Uchiha clan that felt good :) what felt less good was the pain Sasuke went through...poor Sasuke he got the harshest reality check possible :P good that Jiraiya made it in time :D was great to see the passion from Naruto here but ofc gotta make sure he keeps his cool and doesnt overstep :) Itachi pulled out another jutsu from his arsenal, Amaterasu, the black flames to escape, fitting since Amaterasu is a Japanese goddess of the sun :) Tsukuyomi (moon) and Amaterasu (sun) are depicted mostly as siblings in the mythology but sometimes also as partners :)

Gaara developed insomnia cause Shukaku told him if he fell asleep he would take over. That would mean, being the monster that everyone hated him for. Gaara and Naruto are alike in that aspect, wanted to be recognize. While Naruto was despised, he started making friends, Gaara got hoed all the way. Details made them walk 2 very different paths.

I saw parts of that last Naruto stream you did and I'm glad to see you're liking it! I had a similar reaction when Lee showed up lol. I freaked out. Jumped out of my seat literally! I was also surprised when you said Naruto's slipping in front of Bleach for you, I was shocckked haha 😅 I thought you miiiight come to that conclusion maybe in Shippuden, but not this early haha. Only tells me you'll really enjoy the sequel series a lot (Btw, I don't know if anyone mentioned yet but since you're close to Shippuden, it's recommended to start with episodes 119 and 120 Kakashi Gaiden, Kakashi's origin story, before starting episode 1 of Shippuden. I would explain why people use/recommend this order, but it's kind of a spoiler lol.)

I agree completely with your statement that Garra had the worst trama of them all. The arguement that it was worse for Saske because he had family that loved him and lost it but Garra didn't doesn't hold up. Because Garra's uncle seemed totally sincere when he acted like he cared about Garra so Garra knew what it felt like to have someone that he thought loved him but lost it like Saske. But Garra has it worse because he can't even get comfort looking back at his past memories of his uncle. It is so interesting how you were not only facinated about Tsunade at the end when they mentioned "her" but you were already almost as interested in the girl durring the flash back "who is SHE?" Actually as much as people kept acting impressed by Jaryah and how he did some cool stuff I was never really impressed at all; making it that much more huge when he actually summoned the ultimate toad so that his enimies were instantly inside its stomach being digested. That is Crazy! I saw that some conversations were requested but I wasn't online at the time and am not familar with some applications. Regardless thanks for everything.
