@@dampe7438 There was a GDQ run of Crash Bandicoot a while ago where the runner kept making jokes about, "liking to kill themselves" in game. When it got to the final boss, he purposefully softlocked the game by holding a button to end the run. It was removed from the channel, for obvious reasons

It's due to the specific randomizer being used. There isn't a specific in-game item model for getting magic, so randos add one. Most randos (eg. SoH, OoTxMM) make it a glowy magic jar, but actual dedicated OoTR uses the weird bar thing. Him using dedicated OoTR is also why he can't equip swap hookshot w/o softlocking anymore.
