The China - Quincy, MA (Phantom Gourmet)

This is a sports bar, pizza parlor, and authentic Chinese dim sum shop all under one roof. Located on Hancock Street in Quincy, The China has all the things you'd find in your typical Chinese restaurant. There's a fish tank that greets you at the door, a big bar serving festive Polynesian drinks and a steady stream of woks firing up all the dishes you love.

I just arrived back in New England from a many-years-long sojourn at China. I'd like to try the Chinese-American dishes at The China because they presentation of some of them in this video looks top-notch. The Lady in this video is a high-quality person. Of course, her very good manners attract people to her restaurant. Thank you for posting this very good video!

Mrs. Chen: Would it be alright to request a dish from, say, Qingdao/Tsingtao City or Zhongshan City in Guangdong Province? Wow, if The China were to sell a few of the very nice noodle dishes and soups from Xinjiang Province, it'd make The China even better. Thanks a million for introducing The China to us!

Yep!, big fire is characteristic Chinese dishes. I think is good restorant and clean food. Not originaly cantonese taste anymore, but is alright, szechuan's beef too sweet cannot taste the chili oil and ginger.. kung pau chicken not originaly cantonese anymore, dimsum is also not originaly cantonese taste anymore, expecialy for shiu mai. The common dishes at Chinese food. Maybe its like mix american-Chinese food.

I was appalled to see a Buddha image at the bottom of the fish tank. NO Buddhist would ever treat an image of the Buddha that way, any more than a Christian would stick a crucifix at the bottom of a fish tank!
