As someone who is Chinese, whilst I am not fluent in Mandarin due to me moving to an English speaking country at a young age, I have some understanding and comprehension of the language. Referring to the girl's name "Shan Lee" I would like to ask if you're using "Shan" as her family name, or "Lee" as her family name. I ask this because many Asian countries introduce themselves with their family name coming first, then their given name. Also, it would make more sense if that were the case since "Shan" more commonly used as a surname/family name rather than a given name. Another word of advice would be that the Chinese name "Lee" is actually Romanized to English as "Li". "Lee" is typically the Korean spelling of the name and is typically used as a family name rather than a given name whilst the Chinese name "Li" can be used both as a family name or a given name. I will say that the character's name is a rather interesting choice since she was given technically two surnames as her full name rather than a family name and a given name. Finally, if you were to ever do something like this again, I'd recommend giving your character a given name with two parts. It's very common for Chinese to have a two part given name. For example, my given name is Róu Hóng 柔红 which translates to "soft red". Many Chinese names have meanings behind them so it's best to keep that in mind when choosing names for characters in order to make it the most culturally accurate. :)
