@NexusVincent890 Getter Robo was a transforming mech long before Gurren Lagann existed. In its second form, "Getter 2", the robot's arm turns into a huge drill. That's what Gurren Lagann's big drill was based on. Additionally, that's what KoRyuOh was based on.

Not to mention Gurren Lagann is basically Martian Successor Nadesico as written by Gai Daigoji. Kamina = Gai, Simon = Akito, Nia = Yurika, Rossieu = Akatsuki, Middle sister = Erina Won. Leeron = Levin from Tekkaman blade.

The Wings is scrander, the Drill Knee in one of the GL combinations was actualy based on GGG who is based on Great Mazinger Knee Spikes, and one that everyone forgot, its second half story is Super Robot Wars OG2, with Nia being both Excellen and Alfimi, Simmon being Kyosuke, Anti Spiral being the Einst not to mention Personlichkeit is the base for TTGL.

Damn, you're right. I was looking at the drills and the spiral energy being extremely similiar to getter rays that I didn't even notice the mazinger thing, lmao! I think they did a Inazuma Kick in SRW Z2, as well.
