You had a fine visit with Paul McVeigh. Gert van Hoef did a concert with an American friend. Both he and you compose on hymns and Psalms - pay him a visit and blow the roof off a church. From Chicago, U.S.A.

Hi Paul your channel has been an inspiration to many others including myself! As a church organist myself, I have been searching for suitable hymn improvisations that are accessible in terms of difficulty level and yet enjoyable to play and for others hear. But there are not many of such pieces I can find. When I heard this video of you composition, I purchased a copy for myself and I thoroughly enjoyed playing them so much so that I recorded myself playing too on my humble virtual organ and youtube channel. Thank you for your gift of music to everyone in this community. I m Bernard, all the way from Singapore!

Out of interest, Paul, you use headphones. Is that so that the sound goes to you alone, and not out loud, when you play? I can guess, otherwise, you could shake the building down - even with a charming sound with the way you play - because some pieces are loud.
@PaulFey Жыл бұрын
Yup, I‘m wearing them for exactly that reason - my neighbors would kill me otherwise 😂 And headphones give me a better idea of the sound I get for the video instead of using speakers 😊

I went to Patreon, but I couldn't find the level at which I would receive monthly one pair of Paul Fey magic socks - the ones that would make my feet fly over the pedals with NO mistakes!!! (:>) Your pedaling is so flawless that I just assume that you are wearing socks with MAGICAL powers when you play the organ.

They're often penguin socks! Pictures of penguins on them. More penguins around the room if you look carefully -on the calendar, on cards and I'm sure I've seen a soft toy one as well. Paul must love penguins. Me, it's polar bears I love. So soft and so cuddly looking. Mind you though, they might find me tasty if I got near one!

Would you consider doing TWO videos? ONE video would explain the kick switches, their function, and whether these came as part of the organ or are they part of the Hauptwerk? And, a SECOND video that talks about the audio system (amplifers and speakers) that your Hauptwerk is playing thru. The sound I am hearing is too rich to be coming from a Johannus.
@PaulFey Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion, Allan! I‘ve always wanted to do such a video but never got to do it so far 😀

Molto bello questo brano. Il corale l’ho suonato tantissime volte. In chiesa lo cantavano spesso. Tra una strofa e l’altra ho inserito numerose variazioni. Complimenti.
